The Savage and the Swan by Ella Fields

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
This was... eh. Not for me.

Too many things weren't making sense, and I wasn't interested enough to see if they ever did.

You meet for the very first time and you start sparring lessons just for the hell of it? No introductions or anything?

You both share your first kiss with each other (at your third meeting) and instantly start dry humping?

You witness him kill your father and yet I'm forced to believe you will get over that and fall in love?

Spinning gold is somehow a curse?

Idk, too many questions within the first 50 pages and I didn't want to suffer anymore than I had to.

This was good! But it was missing... something. I'm not sure what.

Did Lor know she was lost royalty or not? Did she truly like Atlas or was she only using him? Do the failed Tributes get killed or nah?

There were a lot of unclear parts, and I got kinda bored in the middle, but I still enjoyed this. I'm excited for the others now that (hopefully) most of the world building is done!

This was good! I'm not the biggest fan of instant-love, but at 171 pages I get why it was done. I'm happy this is a series, because it definitely ended and left me wanting more! I'm excited to read from the other sisters' POVs.

This was AMAZING. I've never read a "cozy romantasy" before, but I think I'm obsessed now.

A strong FMC and a supportive MMC? Yessssss please. We love a badass who is encouraged to her full potential.

This had me giggling from the humor and flirtatious banter. I can't wait for the second one! In the meantime, I'm going to binge all the other books by this amazing author!

These stories started off so strong!! And while this was better than the previous two, it was still super mediocre.

I would have preferred this be a royalty/bodyguard romance. I would have swooned the hell outta that. This was okay. Could have been better, but definitely could have been worse.

Things are not looking better for this miniseries.

Zero chemistry. A grown woman believing in a "curse." And a lovely miscommunication trope thrown in to a 40 page short story.

What wasn't there to love? 🙄

I hope this is the worst in the miniseries, because this was NOT good. I actually don't want to read any other stories from this author because I disliked this so much.

You have 40 pages to write a sweet love story. You don't need to include a sex scene. Especially if there is zero chemistry between the characters.

Every short before this one made me giggle and swoon. This one annoyed me so much that all I could manage was a disappointed sigh.

These meet cute shorts are stealing my heart! The precious turn of events at the end of this one made me kick my feet and squeal. I think this one is tied for my favorite!
