I enjoyed this one so much more than book one. I'm excited to see just where they go, but I'm also looking forward to Zarrah's story in book 3.

Finally got around to reading this after reading a sample last free comic book day. This was a super fun read and I loved seeing all the different books/characters come into play.

This is perfect for fans of Spirited Away. I wish there was more to the story but I enjoyed reading this.

I picked up this book on a whim because I wanted to attend a local author event and I'm so glad I finally got around to reading it! I haven't delved much into sports romance but of the few I have read this one might be my favorite. It was so sweet and fun and the witty banter had me kicking my feet and giggling. I also really enjoyed the more serious plot thread because it's something real that unfortunately happens in the sports world. I'm excited to see what comes next from Jamie and I'm excited for future author events!

I really enjoyed this! The diversity in it was so fantastic and I loved the illustrations. It was a little hard with all the unfamiliar words, but it was a great story.

I'm so conflicted on how I feel about this book. I haven't read the webcomic, but I feel like the story might do better in that format, rather than this one. I really enjoyed getting to know Maxi and seeing her growth (though she's still miles away from where I hope she gets to) and I enjoyed the slice of life aspect. I just hate Riftan. I think overall he can be a good guy and I love when he dotes on Maxi. His anger, however, is just so toxic it made me feel so uncomfortable while reading. For 75% of this book their relationships was only through sex. They barely got to know one another until about 60% through the book and even then it was like pulling teeth getting them to actually talk to each other. Clearly something happened in Riftan's past which is why he is so intense about making sure Maxi is safe and eating properly, however that doesn't excuse the fact that he's really toxic as a partner. I honestly want Ruth and Maxi to get together, because their interactions were my favorite to read.

A cute follow up. I really liked the addition of Tavian in book two. I'll definitely be recommending this series to fantasy lovers of all ages.
