I love Trevor Noah. His perspective of the world is so refreshing and I loved watching The Daily Show. This book really showed how he grew through hardship and many different experiences, trying to survive during his childhood and later on in life.
I loved the writing style and the audiobook narration as well. He's one of my favorite people in the world but I guess there was something missing about this book. And I was pissed off about the lack of justice his mother received. I rated it 3.75 stars because there were some points of this book that ended up being slow, but I also understand that when talking about someone's life, you don't get to pick and choose what they're going through and not everything is exciting all the time. The narration was solid throughout the book though.

A solid zombie survival book. Zombie apocalypse is usually my least favorite type of apocalypse but I quite enjoyed this book and the author's writing. I enjoyed the narration of the audiobook, the main character's development towards the end and the overall direction this story went in.

This book is... A lot. Really hard to read. But the characters are so human, so raw and vulnerable and they feel so real. It feels so much like it happened in real life.
One of the best books I read in a long time.

Grief never goes away and it's always quite heavy for me to read a book about it. I had to take breaks from it because it's not the easiest read. One thing this book certainly has is heart. It is raw and emotional and honest. It is a reminder to appreciate the people we have before they are gone. And even when they leave us, they're always watching over us.

This book really gives me a lot to think about. I enjoyed the dialogue format of it and the arguments made.
