L'Engle did much for forging the world of widely published children's literature, and for this I commend her. However this book really shows its age and was not satisfying to read in the 2020s.

A visual and helpful first read on Frida Kahlo's life. Missing a lot of depth and detail (but makes sense for an introductory tome). Lacks critical perspective on the controversial aspects of Frida's life, particularly her turbulent marriage.

Like a weak sauce version of Love & Virtue.

Gives language to so many aspects of friendship that are difficult to talk about.
