I hated the cliff hanger ending and I hated reading this book so soon after it’s release because there’s no idea when the third book will come out and I am not patient.

From the beginning I thought that Theo was going to be a killer but I expected a jealousy kill of Kathy, not what actually happened. The plot twist becomes kinda apparent about halfway-ish in so I just hoped that Alicia got to say her truth, whatever it might’ve been.
I did LOVE the tie ins on the plot regarding the father infanticide, Gabriel’s decision and the greek tragedy. Reading those parts reminded me why I love to read.

I’m giving this 3 stars only and only because how beautifully written it is. The author made a great feat of going from timeline to timeline, world within world and never was I confused which I think it’s pretty difficult to do.
Other than that I think this wasn’t the story for me, I usually don’t read much contemporary so that might be it but it just felt reaaally long and some chapters felt pointless.
That said, I’d definitely recommend it to someone that I would know it’s more on their lane.

I really enjoyed this book, the plot developed in such a yummy crescendo that by the end I literally was nostalgic by this fictional’s character life.
The beginning might’ve been a bit confusing BUT I think that was the purpose of those first chapters so that when everything clicked, the answer was already in your face.

It barely is a 3⭐️ for me because it was such a SLOW book. It only picked up after the 75-80% mark, if it wasn’t a SJM book I’d probably had DNF’d it like at 25-30% but my friends keep telling me it gets 100% better. So here’s to believing them and reading the whole series? Maybe? 🤔
