if there was no epilogue i wouldve been so upset! i loved the historial elements they made it so immersive and i felt like i was learning something. i didnt like the changes in perspective i found them too slow and boring.
lily felt like a real girl and i appreciated that.

i really liked this book. i read almost half in one sitting and the rest felt pretty quick too. i didnt cry which i thought was surprising.

i really liked the style of writing. the plot was interesting at parts but mundane overall, it was a good book but not a good read. once i put it down i struggled to want to pick it up again.

i really want to say that i enjoyed this book but i just couldnt get into it. i thought it was very good and was intrigued that it wasn’t a metaphorical henna war but i just think this one wasnt for me.

this book is a masterpiece!!

i listened on audible and although i would not usually read this kind of book the premise was so unique and james’ storytelling made it so compelling i never wanted it to end.

i recommend this book to everyone, especially fans of james acaster!!

i wanted to give this book three stars but im settling with too, i think i shall have to revisit it once ive experienced some of the things it talks about.

i read most of it when i first got it and finished the last few pages off today, maybe if i put more though into what i was reading it wouldve mean more to me.

i thought the poetry was good and the illustrations were charming, i just feel like i wasnt the target audience and so im not able to get as much from this book as others would.

ive heard great things about this book and honestly i found it quite underwhelming.

i read this book in school, we read a little bit every morning and it took us at least a two months to read.

i don’t know wether it was the circumstances which i read in but i did not at all enjoy this book, i felt the writing was boring, the never-ending sex scenes were unnecessary and the book was overall un-enjoyable.

perhaps, i would feel differently if i had read it at my own pace but i dreaded having to open this book, i found the premise was messy and the time jumps tiresome.

i wanted to enjoy it, as i do with all books but i just didn’t.
