My mom bought me this book when I got tubes in my ears. I forget when that was though.
This is the most realistic King novel I've read. A person being driven to unspeakable acts is a very real possibility. The book was set up without chapter breaks, which was a little annoying, but it was an enthralling story.
A wonderful continuation of Martin's epic series. While not as stunning as its predecessor, this novel is still filled with the unimaginable horrors of war including murder, betrayal, treason, intrigue and even a little incest! (I realize that this is not really a horror of war.) The bloody (and sometimes raunchy) detail that Martin puts into his novels give them a special place in my mind where only the best books reside.
This was different than the other manga I've read. It was very gothic and a little grotesque.
I was told about the Discworld series in the book club at school. I'm really glad I gave it a try. It has all of the fantasy elements for any magic-lover to enjoy, but the subtle (and sometimes not too subtle) parallels to our world make the read an enjoyable one for anyone.
I just thought of this series the other day. I think I read them sometime between 1st and 4th grade.
