A different take for the horror genre. This is set in the Victorian age with a governess in a wealthy home. She has a history of nightmarish activities that the family isn’t aware of. A nice twist for horror. Great descriptions.

When Emma is raped she takes revenge on those who have done wrong. The police and detectives are after her despite feeling she is taking out unwanted men. An interesting mystery. Very suspenseful.

A fun romance with a good storyline. A moderate amount of spice. In this book the couple have a young daughter and the give both to twins. They have to navigate post partum depression as well as life with young children still making time for each other. An enjoyable read.

This was so twisty. Stories within stories. It was a little challenging to follow until I hit that “ah ha” moment!  Crazy messed up families and relationships a great read.

A great horror story for middle grades to young adults. The audiobook really adds to the experience with multiple narrators and a dramatic effect with sounds. When children start going missing the town is at a loss. When one student texts information after being abducted from a school bus everything changes and the search takes a new direction.

An absolutely thrilling mystery!  A killer is in a remote private Alaskan town in the middle of a snowstorm .  The main detective is 34 weeks pregnant. This book was intense and nail biting!  It kept me on the edge of my seat!!

A cozy mystery where a family who run a mortuary is tossed into a murder mystery. When her brother goes missing and his new fiancée is found dead there is definitely a mystery to be solved. I love the 3 cute dogs who play a minor role in this book

Not a bad second book I. The series. It had an okay storyline. Lark and Lachlin get married for the safety of her family. I felt it was a little slow in the middle. There was a bit of spice but it didn’t go crazy.

This is set in a fantasy world where only men are allowed to fight fir the kingdom. Thea was wanted to be a war sword all her life but was made to be an alchemist instead. With much persistence and a little luck she starts her training. A great read with just a tiny hint of spice.

Even though I had most of the mystery figured out about halfway through, it was still an enjoyable read. This mystery was put together well. The characters were narrated by 3 separate people so that enhanced the audiobook.
