I really really enjoyed this book! I got truly lost in the story, not bothering myself with forming an opinion about the prose or writing style because it worked well to keep me engaged. Waxmans writing is so clever and witty, and I loved the glimpses into modern day parenting struggles. Highly recommend!

Wow. This book was a journey to read, seems fitting that I would finish it at 4am when I can’t sleep. The writing was excellent and the subject matter challenging. I do have to say that there should be a trigger warning with this plot. I was disgusted with some of the plot points but the author skillfully challenges the reader to view all sides of the story. Definitely and interesting read!

I really enjoyed reading this book. As a chef, baker, and avid believer in the power of a home cooked meal, I found Pollan’s research to be eye-opening. I had several ah ha moments and the science was really interesting to realize. Highly recommend!

Really intriguing and suspenseful book! I enjoyed being fully engrossed in the twisting plot lines but I did find that the author didn’t really weave the story fully, she really just omitted key details. Overall, a great thriller.

Great leisurely read about a novice hiker attempting the Appalachian Trail. It really makes me what to get out and hike a bit more which we’ve been doing around our area recently. Hopefully we can do some of the AT soon! Bryson was funny and pulled together so much history and data that really makes you want to experience it for yourself.

Wow! I really enjoyed this book. It was difficult to read at times, the true honesty of grey-area topics gave me a new perspective. The way Celeste Ng crafted her prose, not to mention the incredible way she described the art pieces was intoxicating. Highly recommend!

If I wasn’t sold on Elizabeth Gilbert’s writing before, I am now! I don’t normally seek out historical fiction like this novel, but I’m so glad I did. Reading this was like taking big gulps, it’s such a fast read and it’s entirely captivating. Highly recommend!

I’m not normally one to pick up a collection of essays, however I’m really glad that I stepped out of my reading comfort zone! I really enjoyed reading this book. Koul is a talented writer, bringing to life the many insecurities I feel daily, while also educating me by putting me in her shoes. This book is exactly why we need to diversify publishing, to bring voices like Scaachi’s to the masses. Highly recommend!

By far one of the best books I’ve read! As someone who has never taken an interest in Greek mythology and the cast of characters that comes with it, I was captivated by Circe and the writing. Miller has such an amazing writing style that I found myself savoring this book so that it wouldn’t have to end. Highly recommend!
