JunJi Ito always has impeccable storytelling. I loved this short story collection. Most of the endings weren't explicitly laid out for the reader, allowing us to come to our own natural conculsions of what happened next to bring the story to a close. I absolutely love this technique - it feels like the author/illustrator putting trust into their readers to figure it out.

Definitely recommend to my fellow horror fans out there!

Yes. T. Kingfisher knocked it out of the park with this one. I've always been a fan of The Fall of the House of Usher, and I adored this spin on the tale. Plus, mushrooms are so cool and so intimidating! This was the perfect short horror novel.

This was a true work of art. I enjoyed learning each of our character's connections with one another, and seeing how a bit of reflection on one's life with the guidance of cosmic cats can help set one straight.

This book made my heart happy. Highly recommend!

This was adorable. I loved the trans guy rep, the goth rep, and how everything came together full circle at the end.

A beautiful modern YA graphic novel with supernatural elements...just up my alley!

This book was so well written! I had a blast from start to finish, and was totally transported to the setting set forth by Brom.

Beel is such a cute little cupcake, and even Vutto won me over once they had their freedom.

Highly recommend if you love a good 'ol possession / 80s horror story!

I enjoyed the finale of this story! The found family and recovered family aspects really drove my enjoyment in rounding off this series. 3.5/5 stars.

This was such a fun YA sci-fi!!! Girl gamers gettin' it done!

I loved Emika's character arc from start to finish, and although I DID see the ending coming, it was satisfactory reading it play out.

I'm so looking forward to the sequel, Wildcard!

This was okay. It felt very much like a witchcraft 101 book (and, I suppose, it sort of is?).

I found myself wanting more and wanting the author and contributors to go deeper than they did. We skimmed the surface here and gave a very simple introduction to Piscean witchery.

This was a solid start!
