I don't think I would necessarily recommend this book BUT I would have to say the readers of the audio version were quite captivating. I lost it during the father's section.

I always like to read something a little more fluffy after something heavy. I enjoyed this as lightly as it was written. Certain things bothered me like the implied definition of talent and its constant use. The implications of money and having a lot of it. I read it for a light read so I won't go into it much further than that.

Fun quick read. More for the people who can relate but I got my chuckles.

I gave up on this as a car listen.

Four stars because I love listening to this genre. I will say that Pollan needs to stick more to his own experiences because he divulged into research I'd heard before. More often than not I felt like this was a regurgitation of many other things I've read. The bread area was my favorite and sparked my latest hobby.

I would recommend this book to anyone. It is my current favorite biography and I wish they were all this good.
