The narrators voice was nasally and grating. I couldn’t stand to even finish a page.

I’ve picked this up and put it down 2 times. I can’t handle the content. The MC has synesthesia and goes into graphic detail about hunting and skinning an animal.

Wow. Just wow. This story left me speechless. I feel like my entire childhood was healed from within the pages of this book. Once again King proves he is a master storyteller.

Now, if you don’t mind, adventure awaits in the shed out back.

There was something off about this one. White savior, tired tropes and stereotypes riddled the story.

This one kept me guessing from the first mysterious page to the twisty end. There was even a point where nearly every character was a suspect in my mind. I really enjoyed the mundane life juxtaposed against a string of disappearances that span 40 years. In each character, I found a little bit of myself; PTSD, insomnia, and an unfulfilled life with an uncertain future. Great book to start off my 2023 reading.

A Real Page Turner!

A Real Page Turner!

It was written very well. I honestly could not stop reading! I loved the story line. I was actually pleased with this free download, and I intend to read more from this author.
