personally i felt like it was not as i expected. I expected way more romance and obviously this is real life for women and abuse is real; it not a quick fix but for me the detail and length this went into the heavy topics like abuse is never something i wouldve prepared for. I felt uncomfortable at times and yh not for me being 62% through the book and it’s been droplets of romance.

it was lovely no lie THE END WAS SO SWEET i loved the guys and the actually depth of characters besides plot and nathan’s beyond sweetness i just AHHHHHHH. Bree is one lucky girl NATHAN WAITEDDDD they were so infatuated with each other. It was frustrating at times when Bree was actively self sabotaging but other than that we love<3333.

I feel like with this book, there is so many moments that were so well written. The slow burn was so perfect, the ideas, where they were put in the plot and the moments were so intricate. They made the book so satisfying, little things like when he became her partner or when they became friends was so beautiful. It was so interesting to read. Just as I went through the book, I felt like there was an amazing ratio of enemies/rivals to lovers and I felt like the last few chapters were just so beautiful and I was just captured in their love. At times, I felt like it was me! I felt like I was in love. The epilogue couldn’t have been better. There are some type of epilogues that make you think “yeah that’s ruined the book” but this one was just so well written. It just tied the book off well I was so happy for everything she’s achieved and got but I was upset it was ending because it was so good. In this book, I finally understood what people mean by fictional men raising their standards. Ivan was the depiction of an amazing funny man. Mariana Zapata is indeed the queen of slowburn.

I wasn’t interested, especially with everything going on in my life. I just wasn’t ready to jump and read this book. I’ve been on a slump and I need a book to ready excite me.

Aaron was so encapsulating in ways i’ve never seen men in books i’ve read before have. I fell so in love with him and Lina’s beautiful descriptions of him.

I liked this book but clearly it was hard to read bc i was in a reading slump. I still liked the plot and think it was very action heavy. Do I think the book was well finished? No, as far as I know this is a stand-alone but it had an ending of a prequel or one with another book coming. I feel like the characters could’ve developed more if it is indeed a standalone. I think there were many unanswered questions for me. I ended the book with the words “finally” and “that’s it?”. It felt incomplete at the end because we were egged on for this stand off between Spindle Witch and promised catharsis and we really weren’t given that. It felt quick or even rushed; they were one minute in the caste (FINALLY) and we’re getting shorter chapters. Then all of a sudden they’re leaving again.
