dark mysterious

I read the review’s previous to reading this book suggesting to listen to the audiobook opposed to reading it. I’m glad I did! I loved how it was told like a true crime podcast. Definitely pulled me in. I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I hadn’t opted for the audiobook.
I’ve read three books so far from this author and they are definitely interestingly odd page turners with lots of twists and turns.

Yes, I know this was written in 1893.
The misogyny in parts…
“A man’s life is of more value than a woman’s.” Isn’t really my cup of tea.

BUT. I really did find it interesting and a fun easy read. The way it was written as a screenplay made me feel like I could really picture everyone as I read.

“Everything is dangerous, my dear fellow. If it wasn’t so, life wouldn’t be worth living”
