I liked the shonen-ness of it all, but I recently read a book where a man's wife was thrilled by the ending this volume, so I had high expectations and hey! They were *sort of* met! I am hyped enough to keep reading at least!

Okay there are 10 new characters to keep track of! 😅 Tornado is the only S rank to genuinely inspire awe!

A lot of fun, creative energy in this first volume. Everything is constantly in chaos. The haircutting scene was so sweet. The only drawback is that volume 1 has a gross time with consent; oscillating between criminal and respectful over and over. I hear the artist quickly moves past it but it stinks.

Four people meet up to kill themselves, but suddenly glowing orbs change their lives and the course of humanity. GOODNESS. The doctor's experiments freaked me out more than the orbs; just, ah!

Just... unbelievably beautiful. A quick new favourite. Beautifully illustrated. Mature, nostalgic reflective tone. Huge win for anyone who loves fantasy.

Wow. 😬 Read in one sitting. Completely forgot about the world for a moment. It is very earnest and cute that Takemichi is dedicated to time travelling to create the first morally good delinquent gang. Chifuyu is easily the star of this volume. A kind kid who instantly believes in the time travel and is bummed about the prediction of his death but still dedicated to the fun of being a delinquent!

Cute concept: have a middling artist who moved away from manga to run a rice ball shop come back and document how the organization works.

This book is mostly a love letter to the physical printing process which is so nice to read. The resin chapter was legitimately so fascinating. But it is also a very odd book, esp. when it comes to how women are treated at Jump or the author making his wife spank herself!

Oh cool! Adapted stories from Ranpo and Umezz - I love that he loves other writers! However, my feeling about these stories was either a visceral "EWWWWWWWW" or "Creepy!!!"

Phenomenal, quickly becoming a favourite. Makes me fall in love with the idea of dancing in a way I have never experienced before.
