The blurb made this sound like it would be the two of them getting together, but she has a good relationship going that gets stronger and he basically will fuck anything that moves. And does - I think the book takes place over three days and he has sexy times with six different people. Good thing vampires can't get STDs in this universe.

I've got no problem with getting it on with anyone willing if that's your thing, but it was confusing considering I thought it was about the two of them and couldn't see how it was going to get there. (Spoiler: it doesn't, this is book one of six, I didn't realize and I don't know that they'll ever get there, to be honest.) It kind of felt like when a porn tries too hard to also include a plot when it's mostly fucking every few minutes and then they remember oh yeah, there's a plot!

Almost DNFed but was only an hour from finishing, definitely won't be continuing.

Only reason I didn't DNF before chapter two was because I started listening to it in the shower and couldn't turn it off sooner.

Some highlight quotes:
"Desire to pet his one eye python"
"Lady balls" (referred to multiple times)
"Ovaries were clapping their hands and dancing like Ellen had just given us a new car"

Also she obviously has a kid and I don't know why we're hinting at it like it'll be some shock reveal later on. Either way, one more strike to add to the list.

One of the few books I finished and immediately restarted. Glad I didn't get around to this until just a couple weeks before the sequel came out.

Not surprised it didn't get better from the first book, and really shouldn't be surprised that I just got way too bored halfway through. So. Dumb.

What is it with me and audiobooks with a premise interesting enough I keep reading through the objectively terrible writing? This isn't a good book. Even the concept is barely interesting, and the spicy scenes are incredibly bad, especially considering the minimal chemistry built between the characters. We're talking the actors in 50 Shades chemistry levels here.

Also I know it's a why choose but damn girl with the sloppy seconds!  Also also love how dude went from "I can't kiss you, bro code" to "Yeah sure, I'm cool with deflowering you our second makeout session" in 12 hours flat. 😂

Sigh. Totally just downloaded the second book. Someone take away my Scribd subscription for my own good please.

Adam is amazing and nearly perfect, I think the only reason he was single is his mom is too invested and clingy.

Eve, on the other hand, is a terrible person. She makes no effort to train her cat to make things easier for him, she's voicing worry that he'll hate her when they're waiting to see if she accidentally killed his dog, and she's just... Not great.

The meet cute had such potential, but it was very yawn inducing and an instalove I didn't buy. Also they didn't do anything but kiss until they were married, down to him spending a night in the guest room. Maybe I would instalove too if I couldn't even get a decent makeout session without walking down the aisle.
