Spice was top notch. Love story was great. Any obstacles to the romance were thought out well and worked through in the book, not rushed like some romances. Bit cheese at the end bur fair play to that like I know what I'm reading. Solid 4 would recommend it to anyone.  Loads of bi representation as well without all the harmful shit I've read in other books.

Good little read. I think if this book had been longer time it would've made a great story. I didn't connect with the characters enough to care about any déclarations of love or care about the fate of the faerie world. Some of the dialogue is also a bit cringe but this is not my first Sierra Simone book so I knew what I was getting going in.  Spice was good but again short lived. I did enjoy the description of the faerie castle and loved the idea. Just read a bit more like quickly scribbled fan fiction to me more than anything else.

It took me a while to get into this book but all of a sudden I was swept away in the magic of it and couldn't put it down. Almost like the circus! Its delightfully mysterious and etheral. The way Morgenstern describes scenes and plots transported me but the description felt effortless as if the words were just gliding off the page.  Only marked 1 down from a 5⭐️ as it took a while to get to the meat of the story.

As always emotional wrecked in the last 150 pages. Literally picking up the next one as we speak. I just wish SJM would find another non-swear word that wasn't God's damn or rutting 🤷‍♂️😂
