Kings Rising by C.S. Pacat

Oh my god. This book makes me want to light myself on fire (in a good way). Laurent and Damen finally being open and honest with each other is just *chef kiss*. The tension? Magnificent. When the tension is finally released? Even more magnificent! This trilogy is really all I ever wanted from erotic/romance novels. I know I will be rereading these again.

Oh god this book. This book. I didn't know anything about this book when I bought it, I had only seen a Twitter account that posted quotes from the book, but that was enough for me to get it, and I'm very glad I did. I started reading it on Sunday and finished it in 2 days. I rarely ever get through a book so quickly, but I really related to Ari, and it's all written so beautifully. This book made me want to cry (but in a good way). I'm very happy that it's getting a sequel and I can't wait!! Anyway, buy this book.

Oh. My. God. I was so excited to get this book and I was not disappointed. I love the bond that Laurent and Damen have managed to form. Their tension is a driving fire in this book and it kept me turning the page furiously on my commutes to work. Also I can't wait to find out what happens in the third book, I'll need to get it as soon as possible!

The sex scenes are written amazingly well and it's exactly what I've been looking for in romance novels for the longest time.

This is a really big book, and I tend to avoid really big books because they're quite an investment, but this one is really good! Despite its length, it's very well paced. I decided to check out the book because of the show and while there are differences between the two, it's quite enjoyable, and I'll be looking forward to reading the next one when I get it.
Moonlight Gratitude: 365 Nighttime Meditations for Deep, Tranquil Sleep All Year Long by Emily Silva

Really good book with reflections and words of peace. I didn't agree with everything, but I would go back to it if I needed something to help ease my mind or remind me that things aren't so bad as they may seem.

Oh god this book. I laughed, I cried, I would've finished it in 2 days just like the first if I hadn't had things to do. This book is beautiful. It's one of- no. The most human book I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I can't describe the feeling. But this book feels like home. It's relatable to a terrifying degree and I fell in love with the characters all over again. I haven't read many books that have given me such feelings like this one and the one before it, I don't know if it's just how it's written or what, but it's something special.
The Restaurant at the End of the Universe by Douglas Adams

A really good book! I love that these are a pretty quick read and packed with oddities and humor. It's nice to read a book that doesn't take itself seriously, but within it's world things (usually) make sense.

I started by watching the movie. The visuals were amazing, but I was really disappointed with the plot because it all felt like it had no point. And then I found out it was a book. I have just finished reading it, just now, and I loved every single moment. Are things explained? Well, no, not quite, but it's written in a way that answers aren't the important part, it's the discovery. And the descriptive writing in the book is an absolute feast for the imagination, even for the things that are incomprehensible and hard to imagine. I can't wait to read the whole trilogy, I want to find out what happens next.

I love these books! This one was a little harder to follow along with since it skips around quite a bit, but I still enjoyed it a lot and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Ugh, I will never cease to love these characters! I especially love getting to see more of Laurent with his guard down and seeing the stories with the other characters too. A very pleasant short read with lots of steamy moments.
