I had a few issues with Sasha throughout the book just with her tendency to run everytime something got hard and I also felt there could’ve been more to this book. Especially about her pregnancy and Eddie.

The only reason I’m dropping half a star is cause I struggle with liking Shannon at all. I got so annoyed with her throughout the entire book. And I know the reason she acts like that (major overreactions, untrustful, flighty, etc) is because of the home life/bullying but it was so much at times that I didn’t understand it. I had a hard time putting myself in her shoes (which Im lucky for) but it also made it hard for me to understand her.

Johnny is great. He has his own issues but I found myself laughing and smiling whenever he was involved with anything.

And the cliffhanger? Actually didn’t expect that at all.

This was such a fun read. The only struggle I had was the amount of time Kara spent whining about her ex. It was borderline obsessive and kinda weird tbh. I get they were together for 12 years, but to spend a year moping about him is excessive and delusional.

Pardon my French but what the actual fuck was that?

This could’ve been SO GOOD. The premise was there. It started off great. Why the fuck was there a need for
superpowers
??? In no world did any of it make sense and by the end of it I was so angry. It ruined what could’ve been a great book. Ruined it. 100%.
