Very boring and Incredible disappointing.
I've had Lorenzo on my tbr a looong time and said to myself I really had to be in the mood for such a sad read. Lol. That was a mistake.
It has like one sad sentence in the whole book. I can't even remember the names of the characters 4 days after finishing the book.

This may be the darkest book I've ever read. It may beat "Life Of Anna". I absolutely loved it!

It is interestingly written; it's written in first POV for the FMC and third POV for the MMC. I find it refreshing!

I really, really feel for Olivia, I mean Kitten. I can't wait to dive right into book #2.

Read the TW if you have any.

Boring and it dragged on and on. There is smut on every other page, it's actually too much imo.

Gonna read the last book tho because the FOMO is real lmao.

If you have ANY triggers you need to read the TW, because I am BAFFLED reading some of the reviews of this book. Some don't understand that TW have to be read if you have any. This book was said to be DARK from the beginning, and somehow people don't get it and dnf and give a bad review. DON'T PICK UP A PITCH BLACK DARK ROMANCE WITH HEAVY TRIGGER WARNINGS IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE IT. It's okay to dnf a book. It's also okay to dnf a book and give it a bad review. But to give a bad review because it was "too dark" is wild. Just dnf and move on with your life.

And the kink shaming in many of the reviews is disgusting. People like different thing. There is nothing wrong about what Adeline liked.

Anyways.

If you're going to write about the Illuminati Lite you should probably team up with Dan Brown. This book was a liiiittle too far out there for me, and I'm not taking about the first part of the book. I am talking about "The Society".
The Mindf*ck-series does revenge-scenes much better than Hunting Adeline, but it was still satisfying-ish.

Is this a must read? No. I am glad I read them? Sure. But it's a book-series that is extremely over-hyped.

This is a book that's extreme hyped on social media, and I guess I expect more? It was kinda slow, but also kinda relaxing?
I liked the c-plot the most. I was deeply invested in knowing who killed Adeline's great-grandmother. The ghost-vibes was a nice touch.

I also liked Parson Manor. It was described perfectly!
I think Adeline was an okay FMC. I really don't see the hate for her. Zade was also okay, although unhinged lol.

Will be diving right into Hunting Adeline🫣

It took me 10 months to read this book. That should explain everything. Unfortunately, this book was a snoozefest.

I love the Blackwood Institute-series, and I really enjoyed the first two books. But the last on didn't do the series justice. It was all to lovey-dovey for my taste and unrealistic. I can't wrap my head around the fact that they used over 18 months to catch the bad guy (lol, I already forgot his name). And the whole cult thing was to far out. They burned down the woods in Scotland in NOVEMBER?? You would've thunk the woods were to wet to burn down, but that's just my opinion.

Lmao, this book..... I don't even know what to say.
The book started good and gave me such high hope, but the FMC cries ALL.THE.TIME. She's suppose to be this strong and independent woman who takes no shit, but she cries in every other page. One time she even cried over a newspaper because she missed reading it so much lol.

The word "cried" is used 41 times in the book. "Cry" is used 23 times. "Cries" two times and "tear/tears" 88 fucking times.

The sentence "I needn’t have worried." is used 6 times.
This author need an editor (or a better editor).

Spoilers below:

This is an extreme fast-burn and insta-love. The whole book takes place over a 3 week-span. They tell each other "I love you" after knowing each other for THREE WHOLE WEEKS and they only hung out 1 (O-N-E) week. It's ridiculous.

Some other reviewer pointed out the 180° turn the MMC's did in the end is extremely unrealistic. They have built up their whole operation from scratch and suddenly want to throw the whole thing out because of a girl they have hung out with ONE week?!
Also, the FMC SA the FMC in day one (or was it two). She stills "miss them" and "love them" after one week. Bfr.

Alexi being the bad guy was clear from day one, absolutely no plot-twist what so ever.

They also calls each other "married" and "wife" even tho they aren't married yet. The FMC even lost a contract because of the "morality clause" because she was married to some gangsters (even tho she wasn't!!). Makes no sense.

Don't think I will read the second book.

Such a cute book!!

The plot? Could feel it from the first page. The writing? Totally fine. The characters? I loooove Charlotte&Emerson!!! Also, the side characters are so funny! I'm dying to read about Drake! And what is Maggie up to??

I have no idea what some of the other reviewers have been smoking, but there is nothing wrong with this book. It's an incredible easy read with cute characters. They enter the kìnk scene, so be aware.
