So heartbreaking to witness the manipulation of her parents. However, it is still a beautiful story that shows how resilient Jeannette is.

Wow. This is such a relatable novel and I could see myself using this in my classroom. Wonderful story.

Despite the author's intentions of this book, I couldn't get behind it. I found it to be so predictable, slightly anticlimactic, and overall a long read.

I was so excited to read this but it didn't have the shock value I had hoped for. After reading The Teacher and being completely stunned, I knew I needed to get my hands on another Freida book. However, I found the plot to be quite weak. Super predictable. The main character was hard to like. However, it was still entertaining enough to keep reading. The epilogue was, however, absolutely wonderful.
