I’m not normally a fantasy fan, but I loved this book! I loved the letter writing, the magical typewriters and that the two main characters were journalists. Roman and Iris’s love story was so sweet. This was the kind of book that gave me that magical feeling of being lost in a book. I can’t wait for the sequel

I really liked the characters in both timelines. It was interesting to learn more about the Vanderbilt family and I loved picturing the Biltmore and mountains of Asheville while reading. I enjoyed the mystery of the veil. The story held my attention from the beginning. Loved Julia’s relationship with her grandmother!
