Just no. Strong premise but ultimately there was absolutely no plot movement and no character development. MC is awful. How this woman was a queen for even a year baffles me. She’s so naive and astonishingly stupid. Almost DNF’d at the last few chapters. No.
Star Nomad by Lindsay Buroker

3.5 stars. Definitely a good start but I'll need some more character development.
Notes:
-Action sequences were great
-FMC was annoying at times (most times) and her humor was cringe. She did grow on me a bit towards the end.
-Yumi was by far the best character. Literally hilarious
-Author throws around r*pe and SA way too casually (and frequently)
I will probably read the rest because it was a quick/fun read but I'm not sitting on the edge of my seat.

VE Schwab creates the most amazing characters. I’m excited to read the rest of this series. Really hoping for more of Rhy and Holland.
