I loved this book! There's not much more I can say other than I loved it! Jay Asher has written it beautifully and I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 days I spent reading it! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who fancies a gripping story because I certainly struggled to put this book down.
For people like me this book is the definition of perfect. The main character in this book, Charlie, doesn't really fit in with everyone in his school, or so he thinks. I suppose you could say he's a 'nobody'. Before he meets Sam and Patrick, the only friend he has is his English teacher. Personally this book has opened my eyes and made me realise that you don't have to be utterly popular with loads of friends, wearing the stylish clothes and watching the trendiest TV programmes to live a happy life. It really gets through the message that being yourself with just a few special friends is okay too, as long as you're happy. You are allowed to go on a journey with Charlie, his family and his friends in this book. There are some highs and some lows, but isn't that what life is all about? Chbosky simply shows us that there ARE perks to being a 'wallflower' .
