Percy Jackson and the Olympians Boxed Set by Rick Riordan
4.0
I really enjoyed the entire Percy Jackson series when I read them for the first time when I was around 22 years old. My only complaint now is that I’m closer to 30 years old trying to reread them again, and there are quirks to the writing style and the jokes made that just don’t connect with me as much anymore. That being said, I recommend them to anyone who likes YA fiction, Greek and Roman mythology, and adventure.

I really enjoyed the entire Heros of Olympus series when I read them for the first time when I was around 22 years old. Walt Disney: The Triumph of the American Imagination by Neal Gabler

I did not read this book cover to cover, but I read large portions of it for a project I did during my last couple years in high school. VERY detailed. Highly recommend if you want a deep dive into Walt’s life (especially if you need a lot of material for a research project).
Disney After Dark by Ridley Pearson

I actually have read books 1-6 and absolutely loved them when I was 15+ years old and very obsessed with all things Disney movies and parks. I have not read them as an adult to say if I would enjoy them as much now.
Peter and the Starcatchers: Peter and the Starcatchers / Peter and the Shadow Thieves / Peter and the Secret of Rundoon by Dave Barry

I read all three of these as a tween/teenager and very much loved the fantasy adventure thrillers that they are. I have not read them again as an adult to say if I would enjoy them just as much now.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I read this for the first time as an adult during the 2020 quarantine. It sort of reminded me of Lord of the Flies, but obviously being controlled from the outside and in a maze. The story was compelling enough to keep reading to the end of the book for sure, but oddly enough I wasn’t compelled enough to keep reading the books that follow (despite the cliffhanger encouraging me to do otherwise).
The Crescent Spy by Michael Wallace

I read this as a young adult, and I remember really enjoying it and wishing I could find and read a lot more books just like it. I wonder if I were to revisit it now if I would feel the same way.
The Complete Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle

I read all of these in college and remember really enjoying most of these works.
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston

Very cute love story! I like that the characters have fun and colorful personalities. I’m not sure I liked it so much as to read it again in the future, but definitely enough to recommend to anyone who may like reading about a bisexual or lesbian romance.
