I would read anything about Ghibli. Some brilliant perspectives on grief and the types of grief - but also some self-indulgent sections. Worth a read regardless.

It was so good for so long, but the last quarter just lost all momentum for me. I couldn't put it down until I couldn't pick it up.

Would still recommend as an easy and cosy read - but was just so disappointed with the drop off.

Some stories hit harder than others, but all were good. Look forward to reading more from Yan Ge.

A weaker entry in the series, but I oh do I love this weird robot. I cannot stop reading these.

Am I going to start reading Russian literature? Maybe.

I enjoyed White Nights, but must admit that Bobok is what truly won me over. Strange and sharp - brilliant.

I read this last week. I cannot remember what happened. Expectations were high, and they were crushed.

I read it during a heatwave in London, and it did what it said on the tin. I'm not sure if it was due to the heatwave, but it didn't quite pull me in in the way I expected it too.

I loved this. Incredibly evocative, similarities with Cleopatra and Frankenstein, but with sibling dynamics in the place of a toxic romantic relationship. I am a sucker for sibling dynamics. Coco Mellors is officially an auto-buy author.

It's still good, but not the five stars I gave it when I was a wee teen.
