Loved this manga! It was hard not to! The story is well written, plot is good, characters have a lot of different personalities (good character design or whatever) art is amazing, if you like anything in the lines with soul eater or something similar you should read noragami
When I first started this book, I was going to give it 4 stars. The beginning was slow and not the most interesting from the conclusion that was ended in Godsgrave. However, as soon as I got into the nitty-gritty of the book I changed my mind right away. Darkdawn is the bloodiest edition to the Nevernight chronicle and I loved every bit of it. While reading it I forgot that Jay Kristoff is never forgiving when it comes to characters and it hurt my heart reading certain sections because yes I got attached to these bloodthirsty assassins. This is a wonderful fantasy trilogy full of action and violence and oh the humor. I'm really going to miss reading footnotes at the bottom of my pages. Hopefully, in the future, Jay Kristoff will come out with another amazing dark fantasy series because I'll be there at the store ready to buy it!
The story was overall okay. The concept of having two stories going back and forth was really cool and what made me pick up this book forever ago. That is, until about a quarter of the way in I immediately like one story more than the other. I ended up favoring Darci's personal story rather than her book's story. Probably because hers was about her struggles of being a young author in New York City versus her story that she wrote that really lacked a lot of development and wasn't as well-paced as her personal struggles.
Overall 3/5 stars
Do I recommend: not really

I really enjoyed Ken Ilgunas journey across the heartland of America. For me, this is normally a read I wouldn't pick up and would try to avoid as I find these types of text to be quite boring and the same thing repeated over and over. However, to my surprise, this time it was the opposite! I really liked the interactions Ken had with the locals on his 'long hike' and shared similar opinions to him about our world today. After discovering this author, once I get my TBR shelf down, I'm hoping to pick up and read some more books by him!
Overall review: 4/5 stars!
Do I recommend: Yes of course! especially if you're like me and care about our environment!

I could really tell that Niven put her soul into this book. It was from a part in her life that was hard to share and I respect it. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is that I grew out of this genre and it wasn't something I'd normally pick up nowadays.
overall: very good, but very sad, so be warned if you decide to read.

I love anything in the shades of magic world and the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous!
I absolutely loved this book! It took me a while to get started into it, I've been in a book slump for the past few months but I pushed through it and well, I'm glad I did. Vin is such an interesting protagonist, more so because she doesn't feel like one. Not in a bad way. I love how brutal Brandon Sanderson was in this book. I was hesitant to read this for the longest time because my first copy was a mass paperback issue, and well let's just say I have my quells with mass paperbacks. I'm happy I found another copy at my local bookstore and decided to give it another shot. It wasn't anything I expected and I hope Sanderson throws more my way.
I want to start off by saying, damn you V.E. Schwab for making me so emotional like that! How could you rip my heart out like that? to you, in the most respectable way possible, damn you!

In getting into the actual review. I'm simply blown away by this story, the memories, and the marks that were left on me in the aftermath.
Even though Addie is Immortal, I related to her in wanting to be remembered, in wanting to leave a mark upon the world, and not forgotten.
I related to Henry of wanting to be loved, to have the mind to stop racing and simply be content with the life you have set in front of you. To not feel like you have to prove yourself, to be constantly in motion.
I felt this book go by too quickly, like a memory that comes and goes. As time was running out for them, the book picked up its pace, unforgiving, as life usually is to one. It left the reader looking at how little pages there were left and begging the pages to slow down, to give the reader a little more time, hoping that the inevitable would be delayed.

This book came to me during a very difficult time in my life, the world around me constantly changing, where it won't slow down, where it feels like I can not put my feet down without being swept away by the current, so this book was a reminder to me, to hold what you love dearly, and those memories even closer. This story will always have a special place tucked in my heart.

And lastly, before my mind wanders and conjures up other thoughts and ideas
I remember you, Addie LaRue.

Overall I think this book was average. The world wasn't all that flashy, the characters didn't stand out too much, overall just plain. I really wanted to like this more, but seeing as this was the author's first book there were elements that were lacking. It seemed like she was pulling from popular tropes up until the climax where it felt a bit more natural and the part where I liked the most. Overall, just a typical young adult fantasy, nothing amazing, but not terrible.
I really enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought. I am usually not the biggest fan when it comes to romance just writers tend to throw it at your face, but I liked the slow gradual pace that this book took. I'm also used to having the story being thrown at my face having a new turn every page. But this was different, nothing was shoved down your throat, in a good way. I am glad to say that I read this book and I look forward to reading The Starless Sea.
