Gifted & Talented by Olivie Blake
Overall, the story had a lot of potential and offered moments of excitement and mystery, but it didn't fully deliver on its promise. If you enjoy fantasy with a focus on powers and group dynamics, this might still be worth a read.

Thayer Wren, the visionary CEO of Wrenfare Magitech, is dead. His three telepathically and electrokinetically gifted children each believe they could be the rightful heir. On the path from gifted child to troubled adult, only one Wren can claim victory.
This was an intriguing premise with a strong foundation but fell short in some areas. The author’s writing style is engaging, and she builds a vivid, complex world that draws you in initially.
However, the pacing feels uneven at times, with certain sections dragging on too long while others felt rushed. The character development is a bit shallow, and while some characters are interesting, others seem to fall flat or are overshadowed by the plot. I also found that the romance elements, while present, didn’t add much depth to the story and at times felt unnecessary.
Overall, the story had a lot of potential and offered moments of excitement and mystery, but it didn't fully deliver on its promise. If you enjoy fantasy with a focus on powers and group dynamics, this might still be worth a read.
This book will be released April 1, 2025.

This remarkable installment marks the thrilling conclusion to the Silver Lies series.
We pick up right where Book 2 left off, with Ash leaving a wounded Kane behind as she ventures North alongside her fierce protector, Nova, a loyal wolf. Ash’s mission is clear: reach Will and then return to rescue Kane. Together with the rebels, they will fight to liberate Kane and the blondes in Hope.
This book completely captivated me. I was enthralled by the shifting perspectives of Ash, Kane, and Gabe, whose fates have been intertwined throughout the series. The tension escalates as Ash struggles to navigate her way back to Kane, and the psychological depth of Kane's ordeal resonated deeply—I found myself moved to tears for him. The author’s lyrical and vivid descriptions painted the settings in my mind as though I were living them myself. The suspense of Ash’s daring rescue attempt and their strategic plan to confront the malevolent forces at play kept me on the edge of my seat.
For fans of dystopian fiction brimming with suspense, love, and redemption, this book and the entire series are essential reads. Mark your calendars for its release on March 27, 2025—you won’t want to miss it!

The story follows Katarina Shaw and Heath Rocha, who, from a young age, form an extraordinary bond and talented ice dancing duo. Their journey takes a tragic turn at the Olympic games. Their compelling story unfolds and is brought to life through a ten-year anniversary unauthorized documentary.
From the very first chapter, I found myself completely immersed in this gripping narrative. The behind-the-scenes glimpse into the elite world of ice dancing—complete with intense competition, fierce rivalries, deep friendships, and the pivotal influence of their coaches—was both enlightening and exhilarating. Katarina, in particular, is a complex character whose ambition and drive sometimes made me waver in my feelings toward her. Her relentless pursuit of success often placing her own desires above Heath's needs, added layers of tension to their relationship.
The story shifts between Katarina's viewpoint of her life and the perspectives of other key characters featured in the documentary, enriching the storyline and amplifying the emotional drama. The interview segments narrated by the multiple cast members truly evoked the essence of a genuine documentary experience.
If you crave drama, competition, and an entirely immersive listening journey, this audiobook is a must-listen!

I was completely captivated by The Mostly True Story of Tanner & Louise, which compelled me to dive into Colleen's latest offering. I began reading and, in a whirlwind, finished it in a single day. The writing is sharp, poignant, and delightfully witty.
Set against the backdrop of a fancy anniversary dinner for Jane and Dan, the story takes a dramatic turn when a climate activist group seizes control of the restaurant, taking the diners hostage. Jane can’t shake the feeling of déjà vu as the scenario mirrors a plot from her own novel. To their shock, they discover their daughter is involved with the group. How will they escape this life-threatening predicament?
This book is an absolute joyride! The premise is outrageous yet thoroughly entertaining, and that’s precisely what makes it such a thrilling read. I adored the vibrant characters and the witty banter—both between them and in their internal thoughts. The dual perspectives of Jane and Dan create a gripping narrative that pulls you in from the very first page.
The narrator truly excelled, effortlessly capturing the dynamic humor between Jane and Dan, while also conveying the tension of the hostages' situation. An outstanding performance!
If you crave an engaging read filled with colorful characters, laugh-out-loud dialogue, and twists that will keep you on your toes, this book is an absolute must-read!

I was utterly captivated by this book, consuming it in a single day.
Set in 2011, Nicole lives with her husband and daughter in the town of Coronado, harboring a life-altering secret. Years ago, in the 80s, she and her family resided in London, where her sister Cassie developed an intense obsession with Ben, a member of a wildly popular band. When tragedy strikes the band, Nicole is flees, only to find that her past is now relentlessly chasing her.
What struck me most was the storytelling that unfolds through a dual timeline and the alternating perspectives of Nicole and Cassie. Secrets are revealed, peeling back layers of each character's psyche. Cassie, with her self-absorbed and at times erratic behavior, adds a captivating intensity to the narrative. I found myself engrossed in unraveling the entwined fates of Nicole, Ben, and Cassie. Despite the plot's occasional lapses into unrealistic and obsessive behavior, the need to understand why Nicole fled remained alive. The ending left me hanging, feeling unresolved—unless a sequel is in the works, I am left longing for answers.
The narrator deserves high praise for her exceptional ability to breathe life into these characters. Her voice brilliantly conveyed the raw emotions each character experienced.
If you have an appreciation for psychological thrillers that keep you on the edge of your seat, this book is a must-read. Mark your calendars for its release on March 25, 2025; you won't want to miss it!

Experience a poignant tale of loss, forgiveness, and the transformative power of faith.
This captivating first installment in The Hope of Cheyenne series transports you to 1887 Cheyenne, Wyoming, where Micah, Charlotte, and her mother grapple with the aftermath of a devastating winter that has taken their families. As Micah withdraws into his sorrow, Charlotte, harboring a lifetime of love for him, is determined to rekindle his spirit. However, the looming presence of a would-be husband, arranged by Charlotte’s father threatens to upend their plans to restore the ranch and jeopardizes the deepening bond between Charlotte and Micah.
From the very first page, I was completely captivated. The characters are beautifully crafted, radiating depth and authenticity that truly resonates. Charlotte and her tenacious mother, Lucille, are remarkable figures, defying societal norms to keep the ranch thriving. Their resilience, unwavering faith, and relentless pursuit of hope are profoundly inspiring. The writing is a work of art—lyrical and introspective, shedding light on the burgeoning town of Cheyenne and the harsh realities of life on the frontier. The biblical references enriches the narrative and enhances the characters' journeys.
If you cherish stories featuring strong, faithful women who rise above adversity, this book is an absolute must-read. It is available now. I eagerly anticipate the next installment in this series, Designed With Love, set to release in July 2025. Don’t miss this remarkable journey of heart and spirit!

In this gripping tale, Hazel returns to Mirror Lake after the passing of her father, inheriting her childhood home. As she grapples with her loss, long-buried secrets begin to surface, potentially shedding light on her mother’s mysterious disappearance.
This mystery thriller captivated me from the very first chapter. Set in a close-knit small town where everyone is intertwined, the narrative unfolds like a slow-burning fuse, revealing secrets layer by layer. The first half of the book expertly establishes a richly atmospheric setting, heightening the suspense as suspicion simmers among the townsfolk. The characters are deeply crafted, with relationships that feel authentic and interconnected.
The narrator truly brought the story to life, skillfully conveying the characters' emotions and drawing me deeper into the plot with every word.

I was utterly enchanted by *The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot*, so when I discovered this new book, I knew I had to dive right in—and it certainly did not disappoint.
Eddie, at 90 years young, strikes up a heartfelt friendship with Bella, a 24-year-old grappling with the loss of her boyfriend. Their bond blossoms as Bella learns about Eddie’s profound love for Bridie and discovers that he has never experienced a first kiss. Together, they embark on a beautifully crafted adventure to make this dream a reality.
Eddie has quickly become one of my all-time favorite characters, and the way his friendship with Bella unfolds is simply magical. The narrative is compelling, told through the perspectives of various characters. With a dual timeline revealing the remarkable love story between Eddie and Bridie that spans nearly six decades, the storytelling is nothing short of exquisite. The short, alternating chapters kept me completely engrossed, and the genuine friendship that blossoms between Eddie and Bella is truly captivating.
I wholeheartedly recommend both of these books to anyone who enjoys uplifting tales of unexpected friendships, love, and adventure. You won't regret it!

This historical novel set against the backdrop of the Civil War is absolutely stunning.
At the heart of the story lies the remarkable and unlikely friendship between a Union soldier, Captain Jonathan Weybridge, and a Confederate woman, Libby Steadman. Rooted in true events, the narrative powerfully explores the profound struggles of war and the resilience of the human spirit.
With its compelling storytelling and beautifully crafted prose, this novel draws you in from the very first page. Chris Bohjalian’s masterful storytelling shines as he vividly illustrates the far-reaching effects of war on both the soldiers and those left behind. The detailed research behind this book is truly impressive, and the characters, especially Libby and Jonathan, are layered with complexity and emotional depth. I was particularly enchanted by Libby’s spirited teenage niece, Jubilee, whose boldness adds a delightful dimension to the tale.
The narrator's performance brings the characters to life in an unforgettable way, enhancing the emotional stakes of the story. Jubilee, with her fearless attitude, truly stood out as a favorite.
For anyone who appreciates rich, evocative writing—all wrapped in a historical fiction package with a touch of romance—this book is an absolute must-read. Mark your calendars for March 11, 2025, when this gem becomes available. You won’t want to miss it!

What an exhilarating rollercoaster ride! I was completely captivated by this book and devoured it in a single sitting.
Sloane encounters Jay and his daughter, Harper, in the park, and from that moment, the web of deceit begins. After meeting Jay's wife, Violet, Sloane secures a job as their nanny, only to discover that as she becomes entrenched in their lives, they harbor dark secrets and may be just as skilled at deception as she is.
Narrated from the perspectives of Sloane, Violet, and Jay, the lies woven by each character are filled with shocking twists that kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to uncover the buried truths. What’s compelling is that none of the characters possess redeeming qualities, making the unfolding drama all the more engrossing. The author masterfully maintains suspense throughout, expertly leading readers through one unexpected turn after another.
If you’re in the mood for a thrilling read that will keep you hooked from start to finish, this is a must-read—and it’s available today!
