Ordinary Light: A Memoir by Tracy K. Smith

Well-written, but I personally did not relate to or find interesting the many meditations on God. Meandering in parts, but very insightful. I ended up skimming the last 100 pages.

Not for me. The author has some fun anecdotes, but lays on the sarcasm/sass/millennial abbreviations a little too thickly and frequently. The rituals are great suggestions: exercise, thank you cards, and journaling, to name a few. Overall, just not my cup of tea.

A different (and sassy) take on the cards, with anecdotes, but some decidedly negative interpretations of the court cards in particular. In general, was not really my thing, but informative nonetheless for new and seasoned readers alike.

(This overall series review was written after finishing the final book, Heir of Novron, but there are no spoilers.)
5 stars, first read. The Riyria Revelations (6 books in 3 volumes) is an epic feel-good adventure.
The first volume, Theft of Swords, starts off fun, a little shallow-ish, maybe cheesy or pure adventure, with not too much emotional investment. But by the 3rd volume, Heir of Novron, I was almost in tears - the depth of emotional connection I had to the characters was unexpected. And the whole series was still fun throughout!!!
Will absolutely be rereading these, plus more series in the Riyria universe. WOW!
