We all want to be a real-life Ms. Marple, don't we?
Nova has left London after a frightening incident. Her father passed away only 10 months ago. Now she's smack in the middle of a small Cornish seaside village, living with her fiancé and his controlling parents. She's working at the local community center where she leads the book club.
Although not successful, she does have a few attendees. But after a new member shows up, then suddenly rushes out, things spiral. The money for roof repair? Gone! The new book club member? Gone, and his mother found dead! Now, while planning a wedding where her mother-in-law is controlling, Nova and her book club pals must find the missing money, solve a murder, and save Nova's job she loves!

A missing girl, multiple murders, & a labyrinth of clues. Where the cops are three steps behind the killer who knows everything about everyone. The only connection? A juvenile craft. A chestnut man.
The book starts off a bit slow, and I found myself struggling to stay engaged in the beginning. The twists came fast and hard, and from that point on, I couldn’t put it down. Every chapter ended with a new piece of the puzzle or a revelation that had me flipping pages long past bedtime.
I’ll admit, I did get some of the characters mixed up early on — I’m not used to foreign (to me) Danish names, and there were quite a few people to keep track of. But the writing and pacing made it worth sticking with.

The Found Bag of Doom is like finding a cute purse full of nightmares. It’s extreme horror—super gory, wildly twisted, and definitely not for the squeamish. Enter at your own risk… and maybe keep a barf bag handy.

Picked this up after seeing it all over BookTok—everyone seemed to love it. While I don’t think it fully lived up to the hype for me, it was still a really solid read. The twists kept me hooked, and I loved the dark, psychological vibe—it definitely gave Strangers on a Train energy. Not quite a favorite, but definitely worth the read if you're into clever thrillers with morally gray characters.

This book had me hooked from the start! Just the Nicest Couple by Mary Kubica is full of twists—just when you think you’ve figured it out, everything flips. What you think is happening… isn’t. It’s smart, suspenseful, and keeps you guessing until the end. Highly recommend for thriller fans!

The Angel Maker by Alex North was a wild ride—dark, twisty, and a little confusing (okay, a lot confusing at times). The vibe was creepy in a good way, and I liked the layered storytelling, but I’m still not 100% sure what happened in parts. Not my fave of his, but definitely kept me reading.

Who knew divorce could be this fun? The Perfect Divorce by Jeneva Rose is the kind of twisty ride that makes you question your own marriage... or at least double-check your spouse’s browser history. Rose delivers a thriller that’s sharp, & addictive.
The characters are delightfuly flawed—like, “you should probably be in therapy” flawed—and that’s what makes them so compelling. The plot moves at just the right pace: never too slow, never too rushed, just steadily dragging you deeper into the chaos like a charming sociopath with a plan.
I laughed, I gasped, I maybe even considered getting a prenup.
