B.A. Paris' latest novel, "The Guest," is a fast-paced thriller that keeps readers on the edge of their seats until the very end. The story follows a couple whose lives are turned upside down when a distraught friend from Paris arrives on their doorstep, seeking refuge from a marital argument. As they welcome their friend into their home, they also befriend new neighbors who have their own guest staying with them.

As the story unfolds, four deaths occur, leaving readers to question whether they were suicides, murders, or simply tragic accidents. Secrets are revealed, and the lines between guilt and innocence become blurred. The novel's intricate plot and unexpected twists keep readers engaged until the very last page.

While the wait for this book to become available at my local library was lengthy, it was undoubtedly worth the wait. B.A. Paris has once again delivered a gripping and suspenseful read that showcases her mastery of the thriller genre.

An abandoned boarding school undergoing renovations becomes the setting for a series of unsettling events, including multiple murders, a cover-up, and a haunting tale. Journalist Fiona finds herself repeatedly drawn back to the location where her sister's body was discovered, compelled by a lingering sense that something remains amiss even after two decades.

Idlewild Hall, the focal point of this narrative, stands as a now-deserted all-girls boarding school harboring its own share of secrets and a chilling ghost story. The narrative unfolds across two distinct timelines: 1950, where four students of Idlewild Hall forge deep bonds while confronting the haunting presence of a specter privy to their innermost secrets; and 2014, where Fiona embarks on a dual mission to unravel the enigma surrounding the body found at Idlewild Hall and uncover the truth behind her sister's untimely demise.

This literary work emerges as a captivating read, effectively blending elements of the supernatural, melancholy, and enigmatic intrigue.

Disgusting and gory. Aron Beauregard books always make me uncomfortable and slightly nasuase, but hypnotize me into not putting them down until I finish.

Kip is a really good maid with a really bad snooping problem. Now she has found something. Something dark. Something evil. Something that connects her to the family she is working with. Something some one might kill for. You know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat. I'm not gonna lie I was lost for a good part of this book but the ending was really good.

A three year old child is left in a hot car by his aunt and sadly passes away. Now, the court must decide if she is guilty or not. Was this just some horrible accident? Or a carefully planned out deal? Who all is to blame? And whose hiding what secrets?  I'll tell you this this book was a nonstop read. The ending was mind-blowing.

The serial killer known as "The Sandman," whose real name is Daniel Miller, has vanished, leaving his wife Carrie to face trial as his alleged accomplice. Eddie Flynn is tasked with defending Carrie and demonstrating her innocence. However, the Sandman has resurfaced and is committing new murders to protect his loved ones. The question remains: is this a straightforward case, or is there more evidence to uncover?

While I found this book engaging, I must admit that it did not resonate with me as profoundly as his previous work, "Thirteen."

First off, I need to know if my mom actually knew what this was about when she bought it as a birthday present for me, knowing it's one of my fears. Louise and Mark haven't been close since their teen years, but it's not their fault. Now they know the truth and have to figure out how to fix the problem before it kills Louise's daughter, Poppy, and them too.
A mix of Child's Play and the Puppet Master. A Jim Henson nightmare. It just goes to show you what a powerful imagination can do and what a family's secrets can cause. A true '80s feel that I devoured. Just when I felt things were getting a little far-fetched, you hit with some deep emotional trauma.
