The Fall Of The House Of Usher By Edgar Allen Poe...... Oh I'm sorry! I meant The Sisters by Claire Douglas.  I tell you after reading this I need my own grippy sock vacation. Abi is struggling with life after the death of her identical twin sister Lucy. Abi beleives she killed her twin in the car accident since she was driving, and she sees her everywhere. Even in the face of Beatrice whom she meets on the street one day. Beatrice invites her to her home where her and some artsy friends are having a gallery of sorts. Their friendship moves fast and soon Bea is asking Abi to move in with her, her friends, and her twin brother. Abi is smitten with Beas twin Ben from the start and a relationship is formed. But not supported. Suddenly Abi sees how possessive Bea of Ben and how Ben always sticks up for Bea. Is it just the twin bind Abi misses and longs for so much? Or is it something more? Is Abi loosing her grip on reality again? Or is someone playing with her already fragile mind?
inspiring lighthearted

A very encouraging read. With many good and sweet ideas.
dark mysterious

Agent Pendergast and Ms. Green head to the small town of Exmount, Massachusetts to solve a rather boring (for Pendergast) case of a stolen wine collection. However upon further inspection it wasn't just wine the theifts were after. What they really wanted was inside the walls.  And it is going to cause multiple murders, and a accient secret to be revealed.

I enjoyed it

The OG team is back together to solve another murder mystery. When a dead body shows up at Pendergasts doorstep, he is led to an abandoned mine where he is attacked. Leaving him mysteriously ill. Meanwhile, back at the museum, an employee is found murdered. These things are connected, but how, and how is the Pendergast family to blame?

dark emotional tense slow-paced

I hate to rate this only two stars. However, it took forever for me to read it. I felt there were too many POVs, and things just seemed out of place. I still enjoyed it. I'm still excited to start the next one.

Lucinda Berry never disappoints. I knocked this one to the top of my tbr after seeing it on tiktok. A lawyer who volunteers at a suicide hot line takes a call that will change her life forever. How can she help this victim on the phone? Who hurt her? And are they closer than she thinks? It's a very quick audiobook.

I saw a good many reviews saying this was peoples least favorite of Ruth Wares books. I, however, really enjoyed it. Married couple Jack and her husband Gabe are pin testers. That is penitration testing for cyber security. After a job, Jack comes home to find her husband when she had spoken to only a few hours ago dead. And she is being framed for his murder. Now, on the run from police she is making it her mission to find out who did this and why.  How far will shengonto find answers? And how deep is the truth?
