The Year Shakespeare Ruined My Life by Dani Jansen

Good but not the best!

I have been reading books that fall in the same category these days. While there are LGBT contents in the book and it is not like they have hidden everything, there are only a few mentions of the word 'lesbian'. If the character is lesbian, she should openly mention it.

The storyline is fine, nothing too extraordinary, yet, intriguing enough to give me laughs here and there. Mistakes that normal teens tend to make are described. The frustrations, hidden secrets, hope and love of a teen is perfectly described in the book.

A book to get hands on!

At first I was not able to cope up with it but as soon as I got indulged into it, I realized that I loved it very very much. It has unique characters and a great-intriguing plot. I will definitely read this again, but yes next time in paperback. Thank you Netgalley, author and the publisher for the book!

It was a good read! I have been reading a lot of middle-grade works these days and this was a good one. Beautiful illustrations and a beautiful story, to be honest not only for young people but also the ones who are waiting for an enjoyable read and a quickie as well!

There's cookie in it, stop asking me questions and start reading it!

It was an okay read?

There are very few books of which I read blurbs and then not enjoy them.
I would not say this book was a complete bummer but it did not come up to the expectations.
I got really emotional at a few places and at other times I was not able to understand what was going around.
The book seems to be made for a very particular audience who might enjoy translation with stories of separation and living with someone else.

A 3/5 for me.

This was such an amazing read and cute too!!!! The amazing illustrations just blow off the mind and it feels like a mixture of a novel and a movie together, once you get indulged in yourself, you just cannot stop reading it. I just couldn't stop reading it and finished it in just a day. Kudos to Brenna for this amazing book!

It was kind of a refreshing story and a sweet one too. A perfect read for anyone who wishes to read a fast-paced, slice of life, normal second chance romances. Set in Australia and has a perfect mood for someone wanting to read something to pull up their mind and transcend into the beautiful world of love and second chances!
