I picked this up on a whim at a local independent bookstore, and unlike the hundreds of other books I buy I started reading this one right away.
The culinary flare and found family were super cozy and that somehow worked with an adventurous plot. The author is able to demonstrate the enormity and diversity of this universe without overwhelming you with detail. The variety of gender and sexuality was nice to see and simply makes sense in this futuristic world with a multitude of species.
I was reminded of the Hitchhiker's Guide series, Space Trap, and a little of the Enderverse but ultimately the novel is a unique creation. I would pick up more from Rambo in the future.
