Unbroken Bonds by J. Bree

I want so badly to say I love everything about this series and this book. I loved the books before this one but they were still repetitive and frustrating because like… how many times can we do and say the same things before we just run out of synonyms for them? I feel like there was so much unnecessary shit in the books especially this one.
Oh and what the fuck is Olis third gift… it’s never fucking clear. We finally get a clear answer about nox’s but never Oli

I hate that Vivian died I get why it was a thing like oh it’s brought the community together but like… it was unnecessary to me. He died in the most shit way too like oh yeah he went down there and the god bond just killed him then itself… the god bond escaped and killed the guard and Vivian had enough time to notice the guard was gone for so long that he went down there… but the fucking bond hadn’t killed itself by the? No. That’s just not accurate and extremely fucking annoying because I loved viv. Why did they keep the god bong after North talked to him at all after that last time?! There was no point. They were so hell bent on bringing justice to Dara’s killer yet they just let him sit there and eat food and talk shit about the other gods.
Don’t even get me started on the rush job that was killing the pain god… you’re telling me I read SIX books for oil to not even REMEMBER killing the fucking thing. Sure the shadow travel whatever the fuck was a shocker and cool the first time it happened and I could kind of assume that was what was going to happen in the end but Oli doesn’t even have her eyes open and rips out the soul of the hod…. That’s it?M seriously?!
Did they let atlas’ sister and her bond go? Did Allie and the bonds have a baby? Did Kyrie ever find her bond group? Did Gryphons mom get out? Where is Gabe’s mom at like she’s clearly a shell of a person but where did she go?
I really wanted the epilogue to show down the road with the bonded group and family with kids running around and everyone happy and together but that’s just not really what I got from the epilogue given.

This book reminds me of the bonds that tie series. Especially Alec being a dick like Nox. Alec has a “girlfriend” (better than what I want to actually call her) who he has around all the time in front of Eve. He is doing it to ruin their relationship and push her away pretty much. They don’t know their bonds and Eve doesn’t even know she’s a variant at first. there’s an instant attraction between her and the bonds. Alec however is a piece of shit and we don’t like him yet. I get he has trauma and we will prob like him later (he reminds me of nox) but fuck if I don’t want to beat his ass rn.
I wish we could have some more answers also the epilogue just stressed me out more than anything else fr. I hate knowing secrets that they don’t know

Everyone is mad that this books is similar to the bonds that tie series…. Which doesn’t make sense to me at all. I loved the bonds that tie series and have read it multiple times. If there are more books similar to that then I will read them as well. I think it’s annoying that everyone say this is a knock off version of it because it’s not. I really enjoyed this book. I NEVER read series that are unfinished but this book sounded really good and I have read a few other books by Tessa so I gave it a shot. Now I’m mad because the rest aren’t out yet.
I think the character development is going to be phenomenal in the next two books. I’m excited to see what happens next and maybe we can get some answers from her past. And the past of the guys. I wish the book was a little longer and we got to build up more slowly to her moving in but the circumstances didn’t let that happen. That’s pretty much the only issue I had with the book so far. I want more answer and more interactions with the characters.
Also fuck the roommate at first she’s all I’m in love with them and then she’s calling ole girl a slut to everyone because she’s getting “passed around” bitch is just jealous but fuck she’s annoying.

I would have given it 5 stars but I hated how in the beginning the chapters kinda time hopped without clear explanations why so I was constantly having a lag in the brain to figure out wtf was happening for a solid 30 seconds.

Alright it’s not the worst book I have read but the reviews are definitely valid on this one. Did I stay entertained while reading? Yeah. Am I going to continue reading because I need to know her power? Yeah I think I am. If her power was revealed in this book I’m not sure if I would continue.
The relationships are super fast paced even though the books is long as fuck. It’s definitely the Damien show through the whole book. Lowkey though I love him so I was okay with it.

I do not understand what’s going on with Grayson at all. Why did he lie about Alice and why was he so upset? I’m sure he didn’t actually want to reject the bond and honestly I wish he would have had to stay at the academy and just see her flourish with the others in the bond. And fucking Vicki is a cunt. I don’t get why they can’t just fire her outright. She was on a desk in lingerie in a classroom….. it doesn’t make sense. I’m also being thrown off by the fire fae situation.
