Not going to lie I almost gave up ready this during the first ~40% I knew it would get better so I kept reading it, I enjoyed it I just didn’t love it. I didn’t read the first book but I’m thinking I’m going to go back and read it because Rory is funny af.

Honestly it doesn’t really seem like much happened. It was like “I’m lucky” he says “no you’re not” then she “proves” she’s lucky. Then some part of his empire crumbles lol that’s like the general plot. We have two “bad guys” who were basically ignored and nothing was done about them the whole book… so I guess the next book will address that situation. I feel like one of them should have been addressed this book and the other in the next but I’m interested to see how it all plays out in the end.

Dom and Val are so cute

After a reread I have decided I like this one more than the first time I read it. I still think everything below is valid. I also wish we would have gotten an epilogue further in the future… ya know…

This is my favorite in the series I think. I loved this book. It was a fast paced dark romance. Normally i don’t like fast paced stuff but I love this whole series.

I loved all the different POVs at the end I thought it was perfect

3⭐️s because speak tf up you are grown. This book should have had a 19 year old and 18 year old as the main characters bc they were acting like immature children.

I have thought about a scene in the book for the past two days (this is the second read). I could NOT remember what book the scene was in and spent a solid 4.5 hours googling trying to find it only to accidentally see a TikTok talking about it. Anyway, I loved khaos way too much. I needed more of him. He is the reason I wanted to reread the book lol

Potential spoilers…

Honestly fuck her dad he can eat rocks and jump in the ocean for all I care. I wish that he would have died. Like during the whole trade off extravaganza I wish everyone on that side ended up dead in that moment.

The definition of a fast burn. I’m talking “I love you” after 24 hours type shit. So if that’s not your thing then don’t read this book.

Every time he called her wifey I cringed… and it was a lot. I switch it to “wife” in my head every time.
