It is a very interesting book regarding how many things in our everyday lives are related to race, gender or background. It gives you an insight on how from the beginning of civilization to our modern day not much has changed, only different names, here and there a law and a right but in the end there is a lot to be done and things to be changed that it seems never ending and not a very hopeful future for equality. Nonetheless it is always good to read and learn about what makes us different and yet equal and how to proceed with this knowledge. The book asks very good introspective questions regarding race and gender. I really recommend reading it, even if you don't live in the US, because it makes you understand what happens there and that in reality this happened and is happening around the world.

This book is not about religion, is about life... you have to read between the lines... and learn the secret of your own sword. It is such a poetic way of showing us what life is about. I absolutely love it and recommend to put the exercises in practice... not literally of course.

A book to read and reread whenever you feel like life has lost its meaning, or that you are not doing a good job at living. It is inspiring and motivating in so many ways. Hard to follow and hard to imagine how a man in those times had it almost all figured out. How right he was, everything changes but also everything repeats itself.

It was like the advertising for a personalized product/service, they keep telling you what they will do in a very general sense and then they asked you to pay so you can get your personalized product. This book was exactly like that, very general on what you need to do but without any real insight. Definitely not worth it.

As with all her books about this saga, it was good, but I would have loved to have seen more. I enjoyed the deeper look we got into Lestat and how human he is despite him thinking himself the devil.

It is a great overall look at the history of Italy. I am sure if it had more details or maybe a mind map of all the rulers it would have been even better.

Loved it, the history of Rome is so vast that just one book doesn't cut it. But it is very complete and it gives you the basics along with some interesting details

I think this book missed details, about each member of the family, it went too fast through each reign of each family member leaving questions unanswered or details of their lives undisclosed, however I enjoyed the connection between the family and the artists and scientists that were endorsed by them. Overall not a bad book, but could have been better.

It is a masterpiece of description. With incredible sinner eating monsters, epic characters and evil doers, incredible landscapes and adventures in each circle. I would give it 5 stars if the language in which it was translated wasn't so difficult to understand for a layman, but I suppose that was the purpose of it in those times. Nonetheless a definite must read even if you are or not a believer.
