Voices my thoughts very well. Organization(s) is/are a tool, not a constant.

I liked this a lot. The art is really good and I think Jeph Loeb, at least from the stories I’ve read, does a good job with Batman.

Absolutely beautiful, the art teeters perfectly on the line between cartoonish and horrifyingly dark, the shadows and darks rival Mignola’s, and they managed to hold to both of these throughout the story. I can’t recommend it enough.

Not as good at Court of Owls, but still fun. It was disjointed as it was telling the story through a cross-over event, but what can you really expect.

I love the addition of the trans women, it feels like I found myself in a comic. Definitely going to come back to this.

I really enjoyed this one. The art is crazy cool and I’d recommend it to anyone. Just some fun eldritch horror with a 1920s Batman.

I’ve been looking for something like this, a comic based in leftist politics and isn’t afraid to be blatant about that.

I liked it a lot, way better than All-Star Superman, the last DC Comix I read. The art is beautiful, gothic, and gloomy. The plot feels important, even as a first read. And the character interactions seem believable, maybe a little bit on the cartoonish side. It was fun.

It was okay, I don’t like Frank Quitely’s art. I do like seeing a guy who isn’t supposed to be able to die, deal with death.

I liked it but I wish the politics were more nuanced, like when Luther took over he was literally practicing a form of state capitalism with a centralized economy, I don’t think anarchist Batman would be down with that. Either the writer doesn’t like anarchists or doesn’t understand them, either way it was strange that an anarchist fighting against hierarchy would work FOR the United States and Luther.
