At first I felt too stupid to be reading this book but I got the hang of it eventually. The style of writing was so unique and ever-changing, which kept me on my toes. While reading books I typically see it in my head as if it were made into a film or tv show, but it may be impossible to create a faithful adaptation of this story without losing most of what makes it special.
I think I would hate both of them if they were real people, especially Aldo.

The first few chapters were very funny and instantly grabbed my attention. Lewis does a good job at criticising the members of Christianity who lack self-awareness about how the way they act contradicts with their religion e.g., those who have lost sight of the message to be kind to one another and to have a positive effect on the world. Obviously, some of his perspectives, such as those about gender and chastity, are not really relevant today. He also does not have a good grasp of what atheism is. But I can understand why Christians like to use this book for self-reflection.
