This book is perfect if you are looking for a light, sweet read. I felt like it was a bit dragged in the middle with Oliver being so bipolar all the time but other than that, I loved it!!
‘My name is Terra Underwood, by the way.’
‘Didn’t ask.’
‘I know, thought you should know anyway.’
She heard him sigh.
‘I’m Kalem.’ A few seconds passed and then, ‘Kalem Akuma.’
‘Akuma? Seriously?’
‘It means demon.’
She couldn’t help but think it was rather fitting.
‘Well, Underwood means ‘wood that is under.’ What exactly it’s under we’ll never know.’
‘Is that meant to be a joke?’
‘Everything I say is meant as a joke.’
When I first saw this book and read it's synopsis, I knew I had to read it. I mean science fiction with forbidden romance and evil government? Count me in!! And I am glad I read this book. It's awesome

Aelyx's voice was guarded when he said, "Our geneticists terminated the program."
"Why?"
"Because we all started growing tentacles."
Her eyes opened wide. "Really?"
"No," he said, totally deadpan. "Not really."
Damn, she'd walked right into that one.
I knew I had to read this book when it said Aliens because
#1 Who doesn't like hot Aliens?
#2 It reminded me of Lux series which is my favorite.
The story is about a smart girl Cara who loves to Debate but her family doesn't have much money for her to go to her favorite university. When she is given a chance for full ride scholarship to any university, only if she guides and becomes a host to an Alien ambassador boy Aelyx from L'eihr, she couldn't say no. The only problem will be her boyfriend Eric, her best friend Tori, and an organization againt L'eihrs HALO who is dead set on ending the alliance.
She needs to face all this while making sure that Aelyx, an alien boy who shows no emotion in his face and is almost like a robot feel home.
But what will happen when feelings start to grow between both of them as they face all the hatred from people?
This story is in 3rd POV so we know thoughts of both Cara and Aelyx. I really liked this book, which is a surprise since I had a reader's block. Even my block is halfway lifted. The book is lighthearted in my opinion, and I love all the sweet moments and sarcasm in this book. The author clearly explained everything and there wasn't any part in this book which felt like a filler. I would definitely recommend it❤
