Tessa Hale never fails to deliver. I’ve read several of her books, and they ALWAYS hit it out of the park. This first book in a new series, Crescent Kingdom is no exception.
This fast paced fantasy/paranormal shifter romance hits the ground running. Our female MC is so much pain and tragedy, wrapped up in a unique survivalist package. Our MMC’s are each their own person, with their own tragic backstories that come together to make a truly compelling story that I couldn’t put down.
And I just have to rave on about Locke and Brix. I LOVE them. Locke’s
a nerdy SOFTIE. And Brix…he’s a grouchy secret teddy bear. Can I order up one of each please?
It does end in a cliff-hanger, but the next books set to be out in July, so no long waiting for our MMC’s to do some serious groveling.
Seriously pick up anything Tessa Hale, and you won’t regret it. This series is shaping up to be a hit already!

Wow! I LOVED Aurora. And I LOVED Seven. Like, this book was pretty DARK and violent. The spice wasn’t constant like…i think there were three, but it was HOT. My brain’s all over the place after finishing this book. It was chaos in all the best ways. All the characters were pretty grey, which was different and fun for me. I loved watching the FMC accept her darker thoughts and feelings, and slowly come to terms with her more intense nature. She embraced the idea and actions of not having to be the perfect good-girl. And the MMC’s helped her with it, while they all dealt with their own issues.
But holy cow batman. The cliffhanger 😭😭😭 can’t wait for book two already!

Allison Andrews does it AGAIN. The second book in the Circle of Friends series is a book that had me hooked from beginning to end. Kylie, our FMC is a little over the top. Atleast her friends and family tend to think so, and she’s often left having to subdue herself and her energy. She meets a man on a vacation, and sparks fly.
Seth, reeling from a bad playoff game, is on a vacation with his friend and teammate. He’s quiet, watchful, observant, and of course, sexy as all get out. He meets a woman on vacation that brings out the best in him, and helps him love life again.
I seriously couldn’t put it down!

I wrote out this entire detailed review, the page refreshed and it’s gone. So i must start again 😭
The journey this debut author takes us on is nothing short of incredible. It’s certainly hard to believe this is a debut novel.
Cori is my favorite FMC I’ve read in a long time. She’s really relatable, especially to us “shy” introverted book worms. Those of us who question our worth, our words, our interactions, and how they may be perceived. I loved going on this journey with her to discover her self-worth and self-love. Honestly I felt like the romance portion played second fiddle, and a supporting role to her discovery of who she was and what she wanted out of life. And I found myself absolutely loving that.
I don’t want to speak much on the MMC’s, worrying I might spoil too much of the book. But there’s essentially two male leads. One runs around screaming “i’m a big red flag, carrying a bright red stop sign 🛑 “ the other is a man who has his own flaws, but still finds within himself to help support, and encourage our FMC to love herself, speak up for herself, and shoot for her dreams. He’s the green-est of green flags, and sorting through many similar things to our FMC.
-slow burn
-strangers to friends to lovers
-boyfriends roomate/friend
-forced proximity
-dysfunctional family
-finding self-worth
-HEA
Do yourself a favor and read it. And find yourself a shelf-trophy.
Official release day is April 25th!

With each book, the author grows tremendously. The first one was a little confusing to follow, the second one less so. And the third one. The story of Robin and Sylvie is the best so far. Not only is the writing better, but the characters and the story have more depth. Still a quick, fun read; but the characters are more understandable, their personalities more relatable. I can’t wait to see how the author continues to grow into their own. I also am a bit excited for Ajax’s story. He’s been my favorite character so far.
