A very compelling debut book. I think this author has a clear grasp on their voice.

The MC is relatable and enjoyable.

I found the plot to be slightly lacking and the forward motion would lag or skip step at times.
I know this book will be enjoyed by many as I enjoyed reading it.

This book wasn’t bad. But not particularly good either. There was a lot of potential but the MC was once again a neurotic female. Meant to be a detective but can’t keep quiet on the investigation to persons of interest especially.

This is two stories in one. An investigation into the missing to be sister in law, and the other missing persons that all seem connected. And an inner investigation into flashbacks Elin has surrounding the death of her young brother Sam. Something that had been ruled an accident but, her memories tell her a different story.

Now with all of that you have the makings of a great thriller but again the MC just succeeded in making me annoyed and took away from the story.

A dark creepy book that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Something I wouldn’t recommend anyone read at night when alone in your house. Mysterious with many moments of WTF.

Totally get nods of the paranormal and legends of many cultures lore.

The long chapters and uneventful plot movement really left me disliking the book. This will be a better book for someone else.

I really enjoyed this fantasy read. The lore was new to me and I really enjoyed it. The female character was annoying at most times and I wanted to shake her and tell her to JUST LISTEN. But I think that added to the story. Definitely will continue with this duology.
