Kill or be Killed - Volume 1

A fantastic subversion of a vigilante killer story.
Could you kill one "bad" person a month to stay alive?
Great writing with deep believable characters.
Visually pleasing artwork, which doesn't hold back on the violence.

The Stand - Stephen King

This tome is initmidating at 1,348 pages.
A super flu wipes out 99% of the world, and those immune create two opposing communities. It is an analogue for good v evil.
It has best chapter of horror.
Pacing drags in the middle.

Kill or be Killed - Vol. 2

Dylan is starting to take his plight as a calling.
As he starts to feel like he's got a grasp on the situation, it slips through his hands & ends up being hunted by the NYPD and Russians.
Writing and art work are stellar again.

Thrawn - Timothy Zahn

First off, I enjoyed this book. Great pacing and fantastic battle scenes.
It tells the story of the rise to power of the infamous Thrawn.
However, to me he seems very one dimensional, never fails and doesn't face any real challenges.

Neonomicon

Let me start by saying that the art is fantastic, give the Lovecraft imagery justice.
The first quarter is fantastic. The rest puts an interesting spin on the Lovecraft mythos, but it seems like it was an excuse to write sex and sexual violence.

The Conquest Of Gaul - Julius Caesar

In very intriguing personally account of his conquest of Gaul.
It's incredibly rare to have first hand written, accounts from Generals of Antiquity.
Very well written.
Only negative is it requires some fore knowledge.
