Darius the Great Deserves Better by Adib Khorram

Darius and his family deserve a big hug. This book is a great example of what diversity & inclusivity could and should look like. I have always believed that YA literature tells some of the most important stories and this one in particular did not let me down, tackling mental health issues, consent, xenophobia, and so much more. It did not give into tired tropes and I am glad that Darius realized he deserved better. I would love to spend more time with this character.

Revisiting one of my favorites. Still as good as ever, but I do feel after this reading that the final few chapters felt a bit rushed and I was left with some questions. Would Aaron really immediately recognize the voice of his brother who he hasn't spoken to in nine years (after puberty?) How do two sheltered, Amish virgins almost immediately begin having porn level sex? Hmm...

Sex, drugs, murder and political incorrectness. Everything you want from a Jackie Collina novel. Delivers glamour and fun in the trashiest way possible.

This story had a bit of uneven characterization which left me with a few questions. It was, however, refreshing to see an autistic MC in a m/m romance. Certainly a sweet and sexy read. Eagerly anticipating Anthony's story in the follow up (though I would have liked to see more of his relationship with Shawn, it would have made for a richer narrative.)

Good golly. I knew when diving into this series that it would be a challenge. Jordan wasn't the best writer, but the world building and sheer amount of characters he was able to come up with is impressive. The female characters are really not that well written, but I have a great interest in learning more about Aes Sedai. 11(12?) more books to go!

I absolutely love this series, and while the story wasn't necessarily my favorite , I was really happy to see a new installment. Another heartwarming, sexy edition to the Spruce series. I hope to see Hoyt in his own book!

K.M Neuhold is a go to for me. Daddy kink is definitely not my thing, but this story worked for me. I wanted to rate this higher but a few things didn't sit right with me. The question of the cock cage being on for so long with no sexual resolution was a bit frustrating and hard to believe. I won't go as far to say that withholding sex in this story was emotional abuse as some have suggested, because I do think the intention behind withholding was in the right place. With that in mind, what really struck me as odd was the instance where Sterling is describing his past suicidal thoughts, and though he does not disclose them to Barret, it did feel off that Barret though that rope bondage would be freeing to someone in a moment of such emotional instability. Aside from these concerns, the romance was sweet and fun, just as I have come to expect from a Neuhold story. I look forward to getting to know the side characters in their own books which I am sure will follow.
