I've had this book on my shelf for a couple of years, and I'm so happy I finally decided to read it. I was confused in a good way at the beginning of the book, but the story picked up halfway through. Noah Shaw>>>> I loved Mara, too, but she really pissed me off at the end of the book. And it left off on a damn cliff hanger.

It took me a long time to pick up this book since I find it hard to read things about slavery but I’m really glad that I finally read it. There were some parts that were hard to read but I loved the story and cant wait to read the next one. Jane was a great character and so was Katherine towards the middle of the book.

I loved this book so much. It took me awhile to like the characters though.

This was my first Freida McFadden book and it was really enjoyable. I flew through this book. I did not guess the ending. I should have guessed though in these books
The person that “dies” first is usually the killer.

I really enjoyed this book even though I’ve never read the original Macbeth. I liked Rocscilla’s character and how she eventually came into her power throughout the book. I also enjoyed the love interest but I wish there was at least one more chapter at the end.

I enjoyed this book just like I’ve enjoyed the other Simone st. James books I’ve read. This one wasn’t as great and I guessed the plot twist towards the middle of the book. It was still a really good read.
