😭 I can't accept that this story is over...I'm really hoping we get at least one spin off series...I feel like there are so many more stories to be told. 

This, like most romantasies...though there is a beautiful ending...we definitely don't end the story with everyone we had at the beginning 🥹 there must always be a balance in fantasy...no matter how much we don't want there to be. 

Okay but seriously...she's gotta give us more right? You can't give us the heated banter between Emonie and Ryatt...and then not give us them as a couple...and you can't have Ryatt end with being devastated he can't find a way back to Orean...like we need to know the kingdoms are doing okay...so I'm hoping we get some kind of journey with Emonie and Ryatt where they quest to find a way back? Though they have different dads...isn't it possible Ryatt may have some buried hereditary magic from his moms line? All I know is I need more lol

OMG ...I thought the last book was a ride...this was like one of those rides that takes you up so many stories...randomly drops you a bit before the big drop. 

First of all...how dare you allow Melina to get a redemption arc and for my ass to actually start coming around to her...makes me sick with myself!

Anywho...hoping Auren really fucks shit up in the final book 🤭

 Well this was a ride! Haha I love the added story we get by having Rissa and Os POVs added ^^

Auren has well and truly started to come into her own and not only understand but also embrace her power.

Slade's giving major Howl vibes...idk how to explain it but I just picture him as Howl and switch out Howls occasional feathers for the spikes lol 🥰

Overall this was a fun quick read. Though me being me...I found a few pet peeves I didn't realize I'd have 😅

So the first experience our leading lady has...she feels the vibration of an alert letting her know she's been charged. Granted we don't know how much exactly she's paying for the two hours she booked...but then every other encounter...how is she not questioning that she's having appointments set up...and not questioning why she isn't being charged for them...or that she is being charged for them but didn't sign up for them?

Also...didn't realize it but I guess I'm not into sexual encounters where both parties aren't feeling what's going on...that second encounter, with the cyborg guy, well one gave me the skeevies because he mentions that he's in fact really old and used to be a player...and then we find out that he can't physically feel anything he's doing to her or she's doing to him...and I didn't realize I wouldn't like that...I guess I need both parties to be enjoying the experience...🤷🏽‍♀️

Anywho...if you're looking for a quick read, I think this took me like 30 minutes to devour, and you're into something not so human...I'd definitely recommend giving this book a go. ^^

OMG this book did not feel like it was over 600 pages! I DEVOURED it and am ready to dive into more.

Auren is finally waking up and seeing just how controlling and abusive Midas is. She's realizing that the treatment and care she received with Fourths army was preferable to what she has with Midas. 

Ngl I still hate that we're getting Melina and Midas chapters...I get it though we get to see story progression we wouldn't see/know about since Auren doesn't know about it...but still...fuck those two. lol OMG I LOVE that we're now getting some of Slade's POV...it is delicious! Also...I mean we love a man that falls first, falls harder, and would literally destroy anything if it would make his love happy. 🥰

I don't want to give anything away or spoil anything...I'll just say...this book may seem intimidating...with its chonkiness...but fear not it is 100% worth it and you'll find yourself flying through it!

Scythe & Sparrow by Brynne Weaver

Much like the last two books of this series...it comes with a long list of content warnings...some that will have you confused until they happen and you have an, "ahhh....now I see" moment 🤭 if you enjoyed the other two books though...I feel like you're adequately prepared lol

Having rereading the first two, ahead of this one, it was so much fun to fully re-immerse myself in this world. I have to say, after rereading them all...Rowan is still my all time favorite Kane brother...just the care in which he took with Sloane and her anxiety...not to make a pun but chef's kiss! 🤌🏽

Rose and Fionne were definitely the longest journey to couple-dom...both wanting the same thing but too afraid to lose what they already had. I do wish we'd gotten more of Rose's backstory...more about the Sparrow...because it's such an intriguing addition to the family. 

Okay now for spoiler time ^^

I really wish we'd gotten to see Rose use her skills with poison more...I mean each of the women in this series have their specialties and  feel like we didn't really get to see Rose with hers...we get to see he struggle through her attempts to murder in person...but we don't really get to see her in use her strongest weapons...

I love how many bonus chapters/epilogues we got...and I am so excited to see the breadcrumb that Autumn is getting a book?! I am curious to see if their friend Anna, the one we meet in B&B [you know the one that Sloane misinterprets as a love interest for Rowan], gets a book as well...she's such a random character that, I believe, is mentioned in all three books but no really information is given about her...feels like she could be someone we get to learn more about and then we don't...so I'm just throwing out a guess that she'll also get a book?

Overall this series has been such a blast to read. And I can't wait to see what else Brynne gives us in this universe! 💜

OMG this book was so cute! I love that we get random stories from before we knew Cardan to after The Queen of Nothing 🥰

It gave us so much with just a few short stories...and honestly left me craving more. This trilogy is one of my favorites and I love that we were able to get some stories from Cardan's POV, since we're so used to seeing Cardan through Jude's eyes.

Ugh...this just has me really wanting to dive back in and reread the trilogy again 🥰

Holy Sinner by Darcy Dahlia

Okay, so I do feel like this one could have been a little shorter...or at least gave us more in the the ending area...the beginning to ending felt a little imbalanced. 

Perhaps its my own trauma issues...but man I really wish that the evil in this book was forced to grovel...to truly feel and understand the pain...I know its not realistic because narcissists are incapable...but down wouldn't it be nice? 

Overall I adore this duology...even though it made me think about things, and people, that I prefer to keep out of my mind...

... it was also therapeutic seeing someone get to face their abuser and finally having the backbone to yell right back and get all those words out that most of us dream of...to be able to realize that your demon is just a pathetic excuse for a human...there were so many feelings of Kit's that I related too though I'd rather avoid my narcissist than face them...especially knowing that they'll never recognize the pain and trauma they gave me...but instead find some way to place all their problems on me...like they've always done...
