I feel like this should have been a full fleshed out novel rather than a novella...
With it's short length...I hated Jack the entire time and didn't see any inkling that he had any redeeming qualities. Also, imo, there was ZERO chemistry between Jack and Summer...and it made no sense for an HFN let alone a HEA. 🤷🏽♀️
Maybe it's just the demi in me but...neither of these characters made me want to root for them or care about them...and they didn't show me any level of care for each other that gave me the chemistry/emotional connection for this pairing to make sense.
This was a good read...like many holiday reads though it was emotionally heavy 😅 I'm really starting to believe there's no such thing as a light and fluffy holiday romance 🤔 at least every one that I've read one or both characters have a boat load of trauma...🤷🏽♀️
Anyways lol this was a good read though I did feel the pacing was a bit off...the ending especially [as in the last like two chapters and epilogue] felt very rushed where as the entire story as a whole felt slower paced...I guess I would have liked more time on the third act resolution.
***Also random pet peeve 😅 the cover model for out leading man is not giving the giant, retired football player, Samoan man I read. ***
OMG it only took a few pages and I was already kicking my feet! I absolutely adore Davina and can't wait to learn even more about her and see how her relationships with both Mr. Angelini and little Mikey develops. 🥰
I'm interested to see what possible historical connection Davina and the Angelini's have...to see why she's so resistant to telling Mr. Angelini her backstory. 🤔
This series looks like it's going to be amazing and I can't wait to read more volumes as they release!

Bahaha Luka was down bad from the start. Ngl the miscommunication/misunderstanding in this book had me irritated. Like I get it, different species from different planets and environments...but the amount of times she questioned him wanting her...its like girl did your Earth not have fated mate romance novels?! haha anyways still a fun read and I look forward to continuing the series!
Content Warnings: sexual content, violence, blood, gore, death, torture, physical abuse, emotional abuse, PTSD, fire injury, loss of body autonomy, Mention of: child abuse, toxic relationships, abandonment, blackmail,
Okay, at about halfway through this book...I started liking the Kings. I still hate them for who they were...and feel like I needed to see more of how they got from point A [enormous misogynistic assholes] to point B [men who blush and go out of their way to show their feelings to Aran]. The twins will always be the superior men in her life...I'm sorry...it's just the truth. 😤
I'm really hoping we get a Jinx spinoff....I mean really I would love so many spin offs haha
Content Warnings: sexual content, violence, kidnapping, physical abuse, emotional abuse , toxic relationships, torture, fire injury, bullying,
Still loving Aran's story...idk it just feels more driven in a direction than Sadie's did? I still hate the Kings...idc.
Really hoping that we get more of the history/lore in the next/final book? I'm loving the world building and could see so many ways that we could get more stories from this universe that was created...and I hope we do ^^
Ngl I'm actually LOVING Aran story more than Sadies...except at least Sadie had one guy that was nice to her from the start 🥹 why are all Arans potentials freakin asshats?!
