Bloodstone and Dandelions by Elle Brockett

It's an incredibly immersive, high fantasy story. The magic system took me a bit to understand, but once I got the gist of it, I was impressed.
The beginning of the story lays the groundwork in several parts of this magical realm, and we get introduced to multiple main characters. In the second half of the story is when the pieces of the puzzle start falling together and was when I really started to enjoy the story. It's exciting and I'm looking forward to the next instalment.

It was such a fun read!
I loved the chaos that Rex brought and how well he and Birdie worked together. They really compliment each other! I couldn't help but laugh out loud and kick my feet while I was reading.

Having read all three of the Merry Misschief novels, I can say that I really liked the recurring theme of unmasking and living in your truth. Wonderful holiday reads!

My heart 😍😍😍
I couldn't stop smiling and kicking my feet while reading this! The chemistry and banter between Coco and Vale were on point. I liked that their physical relationship development was done in smaller steps, exploring other methods while they were getting comfortable with each other. This fit the overarching theme of trust and trusting someone else enough to unmask and truly be yourself in a relationship.

The entire Winter Bliss Romance series warms my heart, and I can not recommend this series of standalones enough!

Vanaf ongeveer 10 jaar.

Lucy Limón did a thing. She made me fall in love with Chad.

After the Holidays Ablaze series from '23, I was incredibly curious to see how and if it was possible to make such a disliked character, lovable. It turned out that our Chad is an incredibly loyal golden retriever who just had tons of love to give to the people around him. I laughed and got chocked up at times. Iggy was such a gem in how she challenged Chad and simultaneously looked out for him and defended him regardless of their relationship status.
I loved everything about this story, and it's definitely a must read this holiday season!

I think that anthologies are a great way to find new authors. In this particular one, I knew of 4 authors' previous work, and the others were new to me. The stories are short and sweet, with lots of holiday vibes and spice sprinkled on top. This works well as a palate cleanser between longer books, I just read one or two stories until I read them all. My favourite was of Lizzie Strong, bu the other stories were also fun to read. Definitely recommend!

Incredibly fun paranormal romance novella. I really like how Rhea always represents disabilities in a realistic and respectful manner. Maeve and Taran are adorable together. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a shorter read with minimal angst.

The main characters in this cosy fantasy series keep having to clean up the messy consequences of decisions that were made by their parents before they were even alive.
Despite that, the story of Sienna and Amaias was an incredibly enjoyable and easy read. Barely any angst makes this a great story for the holiday season.
I really like the interactions with the friend group, and I'm secretly hoping that we get Blake's story next.
