Turning Tides by E.M. Denning
4.0
This new series is sure to be as wonderful as Breakfast at Bennett’s. Partly because we still get to see some of our favourites!
Kicking it off is Shane, owner of the Anchor a big boy who falls for his best friend's brother. He’s a magnanimous guy who’s caring and thoughtful. And he falls hook line and sinker for the tattoo artist trying to start his life over after his best friend and business partner steals from him.
Archer is a bit of a dick, cranky, and self-absorbed in his woes. He and his brother have a tumultuous relationship that have them both acting out. But Shane grounds him and lets him shine.
There’s a lot of healing and growth in their story. And a lot of heat!
Redeeming Bosley by Sammi Cee

The second half of the Devil’s Duology awaits.
They may know they have something special, but there are still things they have to work through and hurdles to get past.
Namely, finding Cory’s nephew and Bosley figuring out where he fits in the crime world now that he’s staying. But what isn’t in question? That they’ll figure it out together.
This couple is special. As is the family they’ve built at Cory’s hotel. And I love how it’s all come together in the end.
I also love a morally gray story, because life is gray, sure we may not deal with killers and crime but we do make decisions, and choose friends that others wouldn’t always understand.
Gin & Sin by Mia Monroe

The chemistry between these two was off the charts, and not just in bed. One man who’s had enough of young twinks parading through his life and another who’s just setting out on his life dating men. They may seem unlikely together but boy do they fit perfectly.
Truly, they are a joy. The casual arrangement, the exploration, the flirting - wonderful.
Stewart is a delight. A professor, newly divorced and finally ready to explore his sexuality. He’s a bit nerdy but he’s also deliciously open. It’s no wonder Kit is drawn to him.
And Kit, he’s such a great guy, searching for something to live, life, acceptance in all the wrong places. But the way he melts for Steward will make you melt for him!
I’m also a big fan of best friends running a business together. They have to be something special to do that. So I’m loving the whole series.
Icarus and the Devil by Layla Reyne
4.5
Layla has built a fascinating world that is dark and dystopian but has an incredible group of people fighting to save and protect it. And when their lives collide and cross each other as they work against a particularly power-hungry and evil villain.
It’s a complex world that she’s built and the narrative draws you right in.
Icarus and the Devil is a compelling story, where Icarus and Adam find themselves battling side by side, and falling deeply in love while building each other up. The nature of the world they are living in means they all have some form of tragic backstory, and both of theirs will tug at your heartstrings.
There’s so much to it, that it’s truly hard to express my thoughts. But it’s a wonderfully crafted one that’s definitely worth a read.

Just Jack by Christina Lee
4.5
Aqua Vista is a perfect little town. A little quirky and fun, and a lot wonderful. The kind of town that will do anything for its neighbours. Especially when half the neighbours are your family.
Jack and his family have deep roots in the town, they also have experienced a tragedy that rocked them and the town to its core. He’s also unlucky in love.
When city boy Aaron rolls up to his station one unforgettable night seems perfect. But when he comes back with an offer, our grumpy local is skeptical.
It’s a fantastic story that this both light and lovely, while also being deep and introspective. There is a lot of soul searching and growth, and wraps you up in a lovely HEA that will make you smile, while eagerly anticipating what comes next.
Reckless Hearts by Jax Calder
5.0
Jax Calder gives off sweet vibes, but don’t be completely fooled, she will absolutely wreck you (in the best possible way of course). Her writing always blows me away. Especially these books in the Rainbow Redemption Series. I had anticipated that this would take a few days to read, but by ¾ of the way through I knew there would be no sleep until it was done.
Reckless Heart manages to find every soft spot and bruise and poke at them repeatedly. These two likeable but very different guys can’t stay away from each other, but their lives just never completely mesh, instead they live in a place that keeps breaking their hearts, even though it is clear they are meant to love each other.
Marcus’ past has consumed him and their different careers and passions keep a wall between them. It’s a beautiful journey.
You’ll have to read to figure out how things work themselves out. Just make sure you bring a box of tissues with you.

Sure - ‘fake dating’ uh huh, whatever you say boys.
These two are delightful and a little geeky and they are best friends. It’s exciting to make a best friend as an adult until you start to wonder why fake dating is so easy and realize that you love them and want to do all manner of sword fighting!
There are some sweet revelations along the way, such as learning to own their life.
We also get a bunch of cute dates and a lot of exploration. *eye waggle*
It’s a great start to a new series interconnected with others, which means cameos! yay
Silent Knight by Davidson King

An entertaining and imaginative short story.
Sweet Ezra is about to have his world turned upside down and his mind blown! But really don’t all dream of having a silent knight waiting in the wings, keeping us safe, and would literally kill for us? Just me and Ezra? Okay then.
Well Ezra knows a good thing when he finds it.
A highly eventful story, that keeps you entertained the whole way through.
