Tropes: Hockey, miscommunication, hockey romance, forced proximity, billionaire, enemies to lovers Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥 Quote: “What the hell are you talking about?” And did she just fantasize about riding me with my mouth duct-taped shut? Why is that hot?” Thoughts: Oh yesss this book was so good. I loved the banter and angst. The whole time I was imagining Bishop as Tyler Seguin and it really worked for me.
Tropes: Surprise baby, insta-love, hockey romance, second chance, groveling, billionaire Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥 Quote: “And that’s what love is—learning how to lean on someone else, doing it together.” Thoughts: There has obviously been a trend to my reading lately. Yet another surprise baby/hockey romance. The mixture is just *chefs kiss*. Im not usually a fan of sports romance but hockey always sucks me in. I loved RJ and Lainey’s story, I gobbled it up in one sitting. Great, fun read.
Tropes: One night stand, surprise pregnancy, ER doctor, forced proximity Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥 Thoughts: Was I convinced to pick this up by an out of context quote on TikTok again? Yes. It was run of the mill surprise baby romance perfect for a day off from work. I. Have come to the realization that enjoy the pregnancy trope so much (even though I never want kids), because after being at work I need families with happy endings.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥 Tropes: Workplace romance, friends to lovers, AAPI main characters, family oriented, Cali setting
I really enjoyed this book. It was so much deeper than a typical romcom, it discussed belonging and family dynamics. I resonated with the main character in that she struggles to feel like she fits in and questions if her job is going nowhere. The romance in this book was definitely the most realistic, raw relationship I’ve read about in RomCom. The couple deals with real struggles including life diverging, potential long distance, parents getting older and needing help. Overall would definitely recommend this book.
Thanks to NetGalley, Katee Robert, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC. Court of the Vampire Queen will be out September 6th, 2022.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Tropes: Reverse harem (MFMM), monster romance, vampires, forced proximity, pleasurable bites, sword crossing, breeding Thoughts: This book legitimately opens with the MC getting eaten out on the floor of some derelict house, so if that sounds up your alley this books is for you. I was excited to pick this book up because I enjoyed Katee’s Dark Olympus series. What I didn’t realize was this was an older work that is boing republished into one bind up. I realize now that I don’t vibe well with her older works. Thats not to say this book isn’t good it just isn’t my cup of tea. I would suggest this book to the BookTok girlies for sure and anyone who enjoys tons of on page sex.
Please check TW!! There are too many to list in this review.

Tropes: Women in STEM, enemies to lovers, workplace romance, medical romance
As a healthcare professional, I enjoyed this book and how it explored medical trauma mixed with love. Initially some quotes pertaining to individuals in medicine were pretty negative which worried me but as the book went on the narrative changed to being more appreciative. I particularly enjoyed the parts with Stewart. Unrelated to the medical part the romance was super cute and the banter top notch. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes romcom novels or movies because it reads like a movie!
Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

Tropes: Surprise pregnancy, mafia, one night stand, veterinarian MC
This book while semi-enjoyable wasn’t anything to write home about. There were almost too many plot twists and outrageous things happening. I liked all the action but wish the FMC wasn’t so damsel in distress. I will be starting the next one if only to find out what happens.
